In 2025, Casa Decor, the architecture and interior design exhibition held every spring in Madrid, celebrates its 33rd anniversary and its 60th edition. The first edition was held in 1992, in a historic and unique building—the first of many to come. Since then, Casa Decor has gathered a collection of historic and distinctive buildings, including palaces, mansions, banks, embassies, stately homes, industrial buildings, and even a convent.

For its 60th edition, the event has chosen a true “Casa Decor building.” What does a “Casa Decor building” look like? It is a stately 19th-century palace with spacious interiors, high ceilings, lots of natural light, and period details—in short, a residential building from another era. In doing so, Casa Decor stays true to its original mission: to discover, restore, showcase, and open to the public the rich architectural heritage.

For the 2025 edition, Casa Decor returns to Chamberí, a neighborhood with a strong historical connection to the event, where seven editions have previously taken place. The building hosting the 2025 projects covers an area of 7,141 square meters, spread over the ground floor, basement, and four upper floors. It occupies an entire block on Calle Sagasta, stretching from Plaza de Alonso Martínez to Calle Covarrubias. Although composed of two separate buildings, they were designed as a single architectural and aesthetic unit.
Casa Decor Madrid: a live magazine
The event lasts six weeks and features around fifty spaces, decorated by both well-established professionals and young, promising interior designers. Each edition brings together more than 200 exhibitors, with 50 projects created by both professionals and companies, all aiming to promote their work, products, or services through this comprehensive platform. It is a large collaborative initiative that supports and raises awareness for the interior design sector, as well as consumer, luxury, and lifestyle brands.

Since 1992, more than 2,000 professionals have participated in Casa Decor, ranging from recognized names to emerging talents. Casa Decor has served as a showcase and a launching pad for the best interior designers of recent decades. The exhibition provides an ideal setting for creating lifestyle projects with complete creative freedom. Through a decorative project, interior designers can present not only their creativity but also their working methods, their signature style, and how they bring their projects to life. Moreover, the exhibition acts as a live decoration magazine, offering visitors a sensory-rich experience as they walk through the spaces. It is a unique way to engage with the work of professionals in a deeply immersive and emotionally impactful manner.
