Shoreditch Design Week (SDW), a major new annual event taking place as an official part of the London Design Festival (LDF), returns from 15 to 20 September 2026. Evolving from the highly successful Shoreditch Design Triangle, which ran for 18 years, Shoreditch Design Week will be the largest event of the London Design Festival 2026. Discover London Design Festival 2026

The extensive, district-wide festival will unite over 60 partners. Among them, showrooms, independent studios, galleries, and pop-up creative spaces host hundreds of events, product launches, installations, talks, and networking opportunities. At the core of this ambitious programme is a curated network of four major exhibition venues.

A Strengthened Exhibition Line-up

At the center of Shoreditch Design Week is a powerful, curated exhibition offering that spans workplace, hospitality, retail, and residential design, bringing together global brands, material innovation, and emerging talent across four key venues. 

• Material Matters at Unlocked: The exhibition dedicated to materials and materiality is relocating to Shoreditch Design Week, taking over the industrial event space UNLOCKED Shoreditch from 15-17 September. As the London Design Festival’s only other trade-focused fair, this move significantly reinforces the district’s status as a prime destination for innovation.
  
• House of ICON at Shoreditch Town Hall: Returning after a highly successful launch last year, this venue reinforces the area as a hub for contemporary design, commercial interiors, and cultural programming. It will feature Isola Design as a key special project.

Discover Material Matters Copenhagen 2026

• Design at Work at Protein Studios: Also returning after its successful debut last year, this venue serves as a focal point for contemporary product design and workplace solutions. It also hosts the inaugural Neuroplaces exhibition.

• Kachette on Old Street: This venue is dedicated to spotlighting contemporary product design and next-generation talent. The railway arches will house New Designers Selects, highlighting the future of British design; the annex will host Design Burger for the launch of The Product Design 100, celebrating influential international industrial design.

Beyond these primary venues, Shoreditch Design Week is collaborating with a diverse network of designers and studios to deliver special projects and experimental installations throughout the entire district.

The first edition of Neuroplaces

This inaugural edition also marks the debut of Neuroplaces, the UK very first B2B exhibition and conference dedicated to neuroinclusive and accessible design solutions for workplaces and public spaces. Neuroplaces will co-locate with Design at Work by OnOffice at Protein Studios, Shoreditch, from 15-17 September 2026. This collaboration brings the first commercial marketplace for universal design principles directly into the heart of the London Design Festival’s largest trade hub, maximizing reach and visibility for all involved.
