SUMMARY:Clerkenwell Design Week in London
DESCRIPTION:Clerkenwell Design Week\, in London\, started quietly in 2009 to celebrate design in the revived district. Indeed\, since the 2000s\, many of the most established international design brands have found a home in Clerkenwell\, alongside startups and emerging brands. Thanks to the enthusiasm and tireless work of the organizers\, year after year Clerkenwell Design Week has attracted more and more of the international design community. In 2018\, the district welcomed nearly 35\,000 visitors and more than 300 exhibiting brands\, from well-known brands such as Cappellini\, Kvadrat\, and Moroso to emerging talents. \nDiscover Milan Design Week 2024 \n \nA rich design festival \nClerkenwell’s density of creative companies and architects per square kilometer makes the area one of the most important design hubs in the world. To celebrate this rich and diverse community\, Clerkenwell Design Week has created a rich schedule of events and locations. The 2024 edition\, the 13th\, which takes place May 22-23\, hosts more than 600 events. These add up to more than 160 showrooms and 300 brands\, in 12 different locations. A series of site-specific installations\, along with special projects and collaborations\, will once again adorn the streets of Clerkenwell and the various exhibition venues. \n \nDiscover Maison & Objet 2024\n \n \nClerkenwell Design Week: a platform for independent designers and brands\nCDW’s success is due to its ability to create a platform where independent British design brands can find exposure in the media and to the public. Since the first edition\, the event has allowed younger companies to present themselves alongside established players in the industry. \nThe 2024 edition of CDW offers a rich conference program\, curated by Katie Richardson. The three days of lively panels\, presentations\, and focused interviews reflect a wide range of creative concepts\, products\, and projects. The program is committed to exploring where design can make a difference in our everyday lives. Through diverse figures from the world of architecture\, design\, and beyond\, the 2024 talk series delves into sustainable practices\, retail\, color\, and materials. In addition\, the talks delve into trends in labor\, craftsmanship\, artificial intelligence\, and more. \nDiscover Surface Design Show in London \n \nWhy visit\nLondon has many souls\, and Clerkenwell is not among the most well-known tourist areas. Clerkenwell Design Week\, therefore\, is an opportunity to visit and explore the Clerkenwell Design District. The installations make it possible to see different places you would otherwise never see\, such as buildings and museums. And showroom visits also take us inside places we would otherwise never see.
