SUMMARY:CIFF Guangzhou - China International Furniture Fair
DESCRIPTION:CIFF Guangzhou – China International Furniture Fair\, in Guangzhou since 1998\, and since 2015 also in Shanghai\, is one of the largest and most important furniture fairs in the world. It takes place since 1998. The first edition featured an exhibition space of 45\,000 square meters\, and hosted more than 20\,000 buyers. In 17 years and 45 editions\, it has grown into the world’s largest trade platform for furniture and design. Today it takes place in Guangzhou in March\, and in Shanghai in September. The next edition of CIFF Guangzhou takes place in Guangzhou\, March 18-21 and March 28-31\, 2025 (the second phase\, March 28-31 also includes CIFM/Interzum Guangzhou). \nDiscover CIFF Guanzghou 2024 \nCIFF Guangzhou \nA trade fair in two phases\nThe spring edition of CIFF happens in two phases\, every year on the same dates. The first phase\, March 18-21\, is focused on residential furniture\, textiles\, outdoor and leisure. In March 2024\, considering the first and second phase\, CIFF occupied 850\,000 square meters of exhibition space and hosted 4\,700 exhibitors\, 11.8% more than the all-time pre-pandemic peak in 2019. It also welcomed 363\,449 trade visitors\, 22.06% more than in 2019\, including 51\,205 international visitors from 178 countries\, an increase of as much as +43.11% compared to 2019. \nDiscover CIFF Shanghai 2024 \n \nAt CIFF Guangzhou 2024\, therefore\, the home furnishing industry provided many solutions for customizing indoor and outdoor home spaces. Many of the products on display focused on sustainability and technological innovation. \nThe second phase\, on the other hand\, comes from March 28-31\, and is focused on office furniture\, commercial furniture and hotel furniture. Along with CIFF Guangzhou\, the second phase hosts CIFM/Interzum Guangzhou\, the trade fair for woodworking semi-finished products and machinery. Now rebranded as the World Design Summit\, this year’s edition aims to be more ambitious than ever\, fostering global collaboration in the design industry. \nAs always\, the China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) will take place in two phases. With this expansion\, the focus has shifted from a regional to a truly global perspective. “At its core\, design is universal – whether in architecture or interior design\, it connects people beyond borders. This year\, as the World Design Summit\, participation has expanded to 14 associations\, reflecting growing global interest. Looking forward\, Tung hopes to broaden participation even further\, bringing together interior designers\, architects\, product designers\, and even fashion designers under one platform. “The summit is evolving. While we currently host it annually at CIFF\, we are open to the idea of rotating locations or adjusting the format based on demand.
