SUMMARY:Casa Decor Madrid 2025
DESCRIPTION:In 2025\, Casa Decor\, the architecture and interior design exhibition held every spring in Madrid\, celebrates its 33rd anniversary and its 60th edition. The first edition was held in 1992\, in a historic and unique building—the first of many to come. Since then\, Casa Decor has gathered a collection of historic and distinctive buildings\, including palaces\, mansions\, banks\, embassies\, stately homes\, industrial buildings\, and even a convent. \nDiscover Madrid Design Festival \nThe project by Francesc Rifé at Casa Decor Madrid 2025 \nFor its 60th edition\, the event has chosen a true “Casa Decor building.” What does a “Casa Decor building” look like? It is a stately 19th-century palace with spacious interiors\, high ceilings\, lots of natural light\, and period details—in short\, a residential building from another era. In doing so\, Casa Decor stays true to its original mission: to discover\, restore\, showcase\, and open to the public the rich architectural heritage. \nCasa Decor Madrid 2025\, project Leroy Merlin by Estudio Querencia \nFor the 2025 edition\, Casa Decor returns to Chamberí\, a neighborhood with a strong historical connection to the event\, where seven editions have previously taken place. The building hosting the 2025 projects covers an area of 7\,141 square meters\, spread over the ground floor\, basement\, and four upper floors. It occupies an entire block on Calle Sagasta\, stretching from Plaza de Alonso Martínez to Calle Covarrubias. Although composed of two separate buildings\, they were designed as a single architectural and aesthetic unit. \nCasa Decor Madrid: a live magazine \nThe event lasts six weeks and features around fifty spaces\, decorated by both well-established professionals and young\, promising interior designers. Each edition brings together more than 200 exhibitors\, with 50 projects created by both professionals and companies\, all aiming to promote their work\, products\, or services through this comprehensive platform. It is a large collaborative initiative that supports and raises awareness for the interior design sector\, as well as consumer\, luxury\, and lifestyle brands. \nArquitalia – Borja Esteras for Aritco \nSince 1992\, more than 2\,000 professionals have participated in Casa Decor\, ranging from recognized names to emerging talents. Casa Decor has served as a showcase and a launching pad for the best interior designers of recent decades. The exhibition provides an ideal setting for creating lifestyle projects with complete creative freedom. Through a decorative project\, interior designers can present not only their creativity but also their working methods\, their signature style\, and how they bring their projects to life. Moreover\, the exhibition acts as a live decoration magazine\, offering visitors a sensory-rich experience as they walk through the spaces. It is a unique way to engage with the work of professionals in a deeply immersive and emotionally impactful manner. \nDiscover the booths at Milan Salone del Mobile 2024 \nStudio Senser for Exagres \nBusiness opportunities and media exposure\nCasa Decor also offers a significant business opportunity. Its visitors are potential clients with high purchasing power\, providing interior designers the chance to showcase the quality of their work in person. Thousands of decoration enthusiasts attend the event each year. \nEach edition of Casa Decor generates over a thousand news articles both online and offline and welcomes around a thousand journalists from more than 500 media outlets and communication channels. The exhibition has become one of the most important commercial\, social\, and cultural events in the Spanish capital. \nIn 2025\, Casa Decor presents a special Lifetime Achievement Award to interior designer Sandra Tarruella. With a distinguished career spanning over 30 years\, Sandra Tarruella is one of the leading figures in Catalan interior design\, with recognition throughout Spain and abroad. Her studio participated in Casa Decor Barcelona twice\, in 2003 and 2007. She now joins the prestigious list of past honorees\, which includes Pascua Ortega\, Javier Castilla\, Lorenzo Castillo\, Javier Muñoz\, Tomás Alía Muñoz\, Rafa Sitges\, Teresa Sapey\, and Francesc Rifé. \nFran Cisneros. SUMMARY:Designmonat Graz 2025: The New Real
DESCRIPTION:Under the theme The New Real\, Designmonat Graz 2025 will unfold from May 9 to June 1. As artificial intelligence advances\, technology reshapes our world\, and reality itself undergoes a transformation\, we find ourselves navigating a new kind of real—one that spares no industry. For professionals in design\, communication\, media\, and the creative industries\, these shifts bring profound implications. Throughout Design Month Graz 2025\, we will explore these changes under the program focus “The New Real\,” examining what human creativity means in an age of artificial intelligence\, how business models are evolving\, and the responsibilities of those shaping new immersive worlds. \nDiscover Gdynia Design Days \n \nGraz: UNESCO City of Design\nThe first edition of Designmonat Graz took place in 2009. Since 2011 the city of Graz has been part of the international UNESCO network. The UNESCO network consists of 350 cities\, of which 49 cities are in the field of design. In that sense\, the networking society Creative Industries Styria acts as a competence center for design and an international partner in terms of development and linking. \n \nGrand Opening on May 9\, Program Until June 1\nThe design community will find answers to these pressing questions through dynamic discussions\, exhibitions\, workshops\, and installations at the festival center\, located at the Hornig Areal behind Graz Main Station. The Grand Opening is set for Friday\, May 9\, launching a program that will extend across various locations in and around Graz until June 1. \nDesignmonat Graz 2025: Festival Centre at Hornig Areal\nIn 2024\, the festival introduced a major new element – a central festival hub located in the former Hornig Areal\, an industrial site near Graz’s main station. Once home to an iconic Austrian coffee producer\, this revitalized space became the heart of the festival and a gathering point for the design community. From this central location\, the program expanded outward\, engaging the broader city and region. \nOnce again\, in 2025 the heart of Designmonat Graz is the Festival Centre at Hornig Areal – a vibrant hub for discussions\, exhibitions\, workshops\, and installations. Visitors are encouraged to return time and again to immerse themselves in the creative atmosphere. Open daily throughout Design Month\, the Festival Centre is free to visit and conveniently accessible by public transport. \nDiscover São Paulo Design Week  \nDesignmonat Graz 2022 \nDesign in the City\n“Design in the City” brings together businesses and designers to showcase exceptional products\, unique collections\, and innovative creations. Experience firsthand how design shapes and enhances their work—right in the city’s shops and businesses\, where creativity thrives. This initiative makes design visible\, introducing fresh and exciting design products to a broad audience. \nDesign in the city \nGreen Utopia\nHydrogen from exhaust gases? Self-growing high-tech materials? Trains doubling as electric highways? Plant-based blood vessels? Climate-resilient suburbs? These futuristic ideas are backed by real research from the Green Tech Valley. \nJoin the Green Utopia presentation and panel discussion on May 27\, 2025\, where student teams from Styrian universities will showcase cutting-edge research through visionary short videos. Discover how disruptive innovations are shaping the future and find inspiration for your own groundbreaking ideas. Green Utopia highlights how pioneering research fuels transformative solutions – made in Green Tech Valley.  \nReview Design Month Graz 2024 \n\nDesignmonat Graz 2025: the vision\nLooking ahead\, the vision for Design Month remains focused on growth\, adaptability\, and continued relevance. There’s potential for the event to evolve into a Design Biennale\, building on its strong foundation. Whatever form it takes\, the festival must continue creating spaces for visibility\, discussion\, and innovation within design. By encouraging experimentation and remaining open to change\, the aim is to contribute to a better\, more thoughtful future—one shaped by optimism\, curiosity\, and critical engagement. \nWhy visit\n\nCondenses and showcases the energy of the local creative industries within one month\nMakes this creative energy visible to a broader audience\nContributes significantly to embedding the creative industries in public awareness\nPurpose & Impact:\nActs as a platform for innovative projects—both experimental and commercial.\nEmphasizes the true meaning of design:\nNot just decoration or styling\, but as an economically relevant\, value-adding\, and transformative process in business and society\nCollaboration & Structure:\nInvolves numerous local partners in its programming\nUses “Design Month” as an umbrella brand:\nUnifies various activities under a cohesive visual identity\nMaintains the independence of individual initiatives\n\nDesignmonat Graz\nFor professionals and general public \nSize: 140 events\, 50\,000 visitors\nVisit Designmonat.at website for more info
