DESCRIPTION:Cersaie returns to Bologna in 2024\, from September 23-27. The International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings (Cersaie)\, founded in 1983\, reaches its 41st edition in 2024. An area of 145\,000 square meters hosts 606 exhibitors – 38 percent foreign – from 25 countries. The ceramic surfaces for the architecture sector occupy 55 percent of the total. Other sectors include bathroom furnishings\, non-ceramic surfaces\, and finishes. \nDiscover Surface Design Show in London \nCersaie 2023 \nAt Cersaie 2024\, the lectio magistralis of Pritzker Prize winner Riken Yamamoto\nAlong with the rich selection of exhibitors\, design culture has always played an important role at Cersaie. In 2024\, Japanese architect Riken Yamamoto\, winner of the Pritzker Prize 2024\, will give a Lectio Magistralis at Bologna Fiere. With Riken Yamamoto\, that makes 13 Pritzker Laureates who gave the extensive and highly anticipated lecture at Cersaie. Before him\, Cersaie guests have included Renzo Piano\, Toyo Ito\, Shigeru Ban\, Kazuyo Sejima\, Francis Kéré\, Richard Rogers\, Norman Foster\, Thom Mayne\, Shelley McNamara\, Rafael Moneo\, Glenn Murcutt and Eduardo Souto De Moura. However\, this is the first time that Cersaie has the privilege of hosting the winner of the Pritzker Prize in the same year that it was awarded. \nDiscover Milan Salone del Mobile \nCersaie 2023 \nBuilding\, Dwelling\, Thinking: the conferences\nAmong the events in the cultural program “Building\, Dwelling\, Thinking” at Cersaie 2024 are the lectures by Belgian architect David Van Severen and French architect Rudy Ricciotti. Cersaie thus reconfirms itself as the privileged place of discussion between industry professionals and great international architecture.\nIndustrial designer Giulio Iacchetti will be the master of the traditional Lesson in Reverse at Cersaie 2024\, the meeting dedicated to high school students. Before this 2024 appointment\, many designers\, artists\, filmmakers\, photographers and scientists gave this Lesson. These include Enzo Mari\, Elio Caccavale\, Alessandro Mendini\, Riccardo Dalisi\, Riccardo Blumer\, Massimo Giacon\, Ugo La Pietra\, Fabio Novembre\, Silvia Camporesi\, Francesca Molteni\, and Stefano Mancuso. \nDiscover Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt \nCersaie 2023 \nThe Press Cafés\nAmong the various events at Cersaie 2024\, the “Cafés of the Press” also return in 2024. Now in their ninth edition\, they come back with their usual format. This year’s discussion theme is “architectural space.” The publications featured in the meetings are AD Architectural Digest\, CasaFacile\, CasaOggiDomani\, Chiesa Oggi\, DDN\, Domus\, Elle Decor Italia\, IFDM\, Il Bagno Oggi e Domani\, Ingenio\, IoArch\, Interni\, La casa in ordine\, NiiProgetti\, Platform\, Suite\, The Plan and Wellness Design. The public can also enjoy the meetings\, all in person\, via live streaming on the Cersaie website and on the platforms of the various publishers. \nTiling Town\nThe area dedicated to the ‘Tiling Town\,’ in its 12th edition\, offers innovative demonstrations of laying ceramic surfaces\, with Assoposa’s Master Layers. The concept of this year’s set-up\, occupying 400 square meters in Hall 32\, is the relationship between man and technology. Assoposa occupies an important space within the ‘Tiling Town’. It also dedicates a specific area to the Academy\, with the exhibition of furniture elements made with ceramics.\nThree conferences are taking place\, dealing with topical issues related to the relationship between production and the distribution system\, as well as new housing models. Also taking place outside Hall 32 is the’ Bathroom Installation at Cersaie’ initiative\, where four teams of installers from Italy\, Switzerland\, Denmark and Brazil will try to lay ceramic surfaces to create different bathroom environments. \nADI Awards at Cersaie 2024\nAlso this year\, for the tenth time\, the ADI Ceramics and Bathroom Design Awards are back. The prizes go to ceramic and bathroom furniture products made in Italy. The ADI Booth Design Awards\, instead\, go to booths\, will be presented at Cersaie. \nRubinetterie Treemme booth\, awarded in 2023 \nWhy visit\nCersaie is one of the world’s historic and most important exhibitions in ceramic surfaces for architecture and bathroom furnishings.
