Galerie Mitterrand will bring iconic pieces by Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne\, among them a rare pair of Singes Attentifs and a Pomme de Londres from 2007. \nLaffanour | Galerie Downtown will lean into the way architecture\, craft and design come together in Paris\, showing work by Le Corbusier\, Pierre Jeanneret\, Isamu Noguchi and Charlotte Perriand. \nGalerie Maxime Flatry will look back at 1930s French modernism\, built around a strong group of pieces by Robert Mallet-Stevens alongside work by Pierre Chareau\, Eileen Gray and Pierre Legrain. \nGalerie SCENE OUVERTE will carry on its work on contemporary decorative arts with a show called Around a Desk\, bringing in Studio KRJST\, Adélie Ducasse\, Vincent Dubourg and\, for the first time with the gallery\, Studio Lugo. \nMeubles et Lumières\, which focuses on French and Italian furniture and lighting from the 1950s to the 1980s\, will show pieces by Pierre Guariche\, Pierre Paulin and Gio Ponti next to a few rediscovered names. \nDiscover Design Miami 2025 \nGalerie Scene Ouvert\, Design Miami Paris 2026 \nScandinavian Design Takes Center Stage\nNordic design runs as a strong thread through this edition\, from rare mid-century pieces to new sculptural work. \nModernity\, a Swedish gallery from Stockholm\, will show up as an exhibitor for the first time\, bringing 20th-century Nordic design pieces including a rare wing chair by Frits Henningsen\, a 1930s Flora cabinet by Josef Frank\, and a one-of-a-kind cabinet by Otto Schulz. \nHostler Burrows\, from New York and Los Angeles\, will debut a new hand-tufted rug called September\, made with designer Louise Hederström together with Kasthall in Kinna\, Sweden. The rug pulls in fabric from the archive of designer Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg and takes its pattern from the shifting shapes of a broadleaf forest. \nGalerie Maria Wettergren will focus on Gjertrud Hals\, whose textile sculptures sit somewhere between structure and form. Her recent piece Jade\, part of the series she started at the Venice Biennale\, will show in Paris for the first time. \nGalerie Eric Philippe will round out the Nordic selection with a rare 1950s floor lamp by Finnish designer Paavo Tynell. \nDesign Miami Paris 2025 \nWearable Art and Artist Jewelry\nJewelry and sculptural wearable pieces come up again and again this year\, sitting right at the point where the body\, material experiments and craft meet. \nGalerie MiniMasterpiece will show a group of wooden necklaces made by Argentine artist Luis Quesada in the 1960s and 70s\, never shown in France before\, plus the first piece of jewelry ever made by German artist Franz Erhard Walther. \nElisabetta Cipriani Gallery\, from London\, will make its Design Miami Paris debut with Shared Grounds: Intimate Monuments\, a show on the link between sculpture and the body through wearable pieces. It includes Sheila Hicks’ Cosmic Jewelry series and Liens d’Amour\, the last necklace made by Sophia Vari before she passed away\, combining ebony\, coral and gold. \nDesign Miami Paris 2025 \nItalian Design\, Past and Present\nItalian design keeps its usual strong presence. NILUFAR\, from Milan\, will bring a mix of vintage masterpieces and contemporary work\, including a 2025 table lamp from Von Pelt Atelier that draws on Spanish silver decorative objects from the 1950s and 70s. \nGalleria Rossella Colombari will build a scene around the classic Italian home\, bringing together Angelo Lelii\, Ico Parisi and other masters of Italian design. \nGalerie Kreo will pair 20th-century French and Italian lamps with limited-edition contemporary pieces by designers including Virgil Abloh and Jasper Morrison\, keeping up its role as what the gallery itself calls a “research lab.” \nDesign at Large: Large-Scale Work Fills the Grounds\nThis year’s Design at Large program takes over the courtyard\, interiors and gardens of L’Hôtel de Maisons with big\, ambitious pieces that mix historical and contemporary design. \nGalerie Patrick Seguin will bring Jean Prouvé’s 1944 6×6 Demountable House\, a landmark piece of postwar architecture built around Prouvé’s belief in industrialized construction. Pierre Renart\, working with Maison Parisienne\, will show a monumental sculptural bench that turns into a chaise longue through one continuous line of wood. Craftica Gallery\, from Warsaw\, will debut Korallion\, a birch plywood bench by Cyryl Zakrzewski that sits between sculpture and architecture. \nJean Prouvé\, Maison D émontable 6X6\, 1944. Under Rodman Primack’s lead\, a jury of design and creative figures will pick four designers to bring Apple technology into their creative process. Their work will show at Design Miami Paris in October 2026. \nDesign Miami.Paris\, October 20-25\, 2026\nFor professionals and general public\, paid admission \nSize: one venue\, over 20 galleries\nLocation: L’Hôtel de Maisons\, 51 rue de l’Université\, Paris\nOpening hours: October 21-24\, h. 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM; October 25\, h. 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM\nVisit Design Miami.Paris for info\n \n\nInvitation-only preview: Tuesday\, October 20 (members 10:00–19:00\, collectors 15:00–19:00\, press 15:00–19:00)

SUMMARY:ORGATEC 2026
DESCRIPTION:ORGATEC 2026\, the leading international trade fair for workspace and contract solutions\, opens in Cologne from 27 to 30 October 2026. This edition comes back with a tighter format built around business\, a second venue in the city at Design Post Köln\, and a special exhibition on the architectural thinking of Charles and Ray Eames. It also runs side by side with idd cologne\, turning the last week of October into a full Cologne interiors week.\n \nORGATEC 2024 \nA leaner ORGATEC 2026\, built around business\nThe furniture industry is going through a hard phase\, and several key European markets are still slow. ORGATEC has responded by reshaping its concept around a single goal: helping exhibitors and visitors do real business. \nThe most visible change is a more compact hall layout. Product segments are now grouped into clusters\, so visitors can find the brands they need faster and move through the halls more easily. For exhibitors\, the organisers expect more focused contact with decision-makers. \n \nWho is exhibiting at ORGATEC 2026\nThe exhibitor list is already long and keeps growing. In Workspace Solutions\, names include Haworth\, Humanscale\, Kinnarps\, Sedus\, Interstuhl\, Brunner\, Bene\, Thonet\, Pedrali\, Nowy Styl / Kusch+Co\, NARBUTAS\, Koleksiyon\, BuzziSpace\, Interface\, Japan’s KOKUYO and China’s Sunon. \nIn Contract Solutions\, visitors will find Artemide\, Muuto\, Kettal\, Lapalma\, Fermob\, Framery\, Viccarbe\, Casala\, COR\, Freifrau\, Crassevig\, String and Ege Carpets\, among others. \nAsia plays a strong part in this edition. Of the roughly 450 exhibitors registered by 21 August\, 139 come from Asian countries. That puts Asia just behind the EU\, which counts 174 exhibitors not including Germany\, and ahead of the 96 German companies. The rest come from other European countries including Turkey (30)\, the Americas (8)\, Oceania (2) and Africa (1). \nThe full ORGATEC exhibitor list and the hall plan are online at orgatec.com and are updated regularly\, which makes it easy to plan visits well ahead.\n \nDiscover imm cologne  \nORGATEC 2024 \nDesign Post Köln joins both ORGATEC and idd cologne\nThe biggest structural news is the role of Design Post Köln. For the first time\, the heritage-listed design venue near the fairgrounds takes part in two events at once. It works as an extra exhibition space for ORGATEC and as the central hub of idd cologne 2026\, the interior design days that run from 27 to 31 October with an urban-only format. \nInside Design Post\, ORGATEC brings in brands such as Flokk\, Hund Office\, Klöber\, Schneeweiss Interior and Wagner Living. On the idd cologne side\, the line-up includes Arper\, DEDON\, Lodes\, mdf italia\, Prostoria\, RIVA\, Ferm Living\, GLOSTER and Tubes. From here\, visitors can move on to machwerkhaus köln\, Design Season Cologne and the independent showrooms spread across the city. \nThis is also a step towards something bigger. On 1 January 2027\, Koelnmesse will take over Design Post and make it a permanent part of its event venues\, with the Koelncongress subsidiary in charge of marketing and operations. \nDesign Post Köln \nThe Eames Pavilion System by Kettal at ORGATEC 2026\nThe cultural highlight of the fair sits in Hall 10.2\, Stand N-048\, where ORGATEC presents the Eames Pavilion System by Kettal\, developed with the Eames Office. Visitors can walk through two full-size pavilions and look at archive material on the architecture of Charles and Ray Eames. \nBehind the project are almost three years of research\, led by Eames Office collaborator Eckart Maise\, starting from the Eames House\, Case Study House No. 8. The result is a modular building system based on a clear grid\, which can be set up for homes\, hotels\, offices\, retail spaces or exhibitions. It fits well with the fair’s theme\, “From rooms to relationships: designing spaces in an ever-changing world”. \nEames Pavilion System by Kettal and Eames Office at ORGATEC 2026\, Hall 10.2 \nTalks and workshops: Wherever Whenever – Work Culture Festival\n\n\n\nAlongside the product halls\, the Wherever Whenever – Work Culture Festival\, run by Germany’s Interior Business Association (IBA e.V.)\, takes over Hall 6 for all four days of ORGATEC. Talks\, panels and workshops look at how work and company cultures are changing\, around three themes: wellbeing and personal growth\, stronger connections within organisations\, and the bold choices needed for sustainable change. \nThe speaker line-up mixes design\, science and sport. It includes Carlo Ratti\, Patrik Schumacher\, Ole Scheeren\, Miriam Meckel\, Julia Hobsbawm and Maja Göpel\, together with former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher and tennis champion Angelique Kerber. Around the stages\, visitors will find an art exhibition\, food courts and a podcast booth\, and on Wednesday 28 October\, from 6 to 10 pm\, the ORGATEC x WW-Festival Party brings everyone together on the Board Stage. \nWherever Whenever Work Culture Festival 2026 in Hall 6 at ORGATEC Cologne \n\n\n\nLess waste at ORGATEC 2026: materials and food donations\nORGATEC 2026 also looks at what happens when the fair closes. Exhibitors can donate leftover stand materials\, such as wood\, banners and carpets\, to social\, charitable or creative projects through the Trash Galore initiative\, giving them a second life instead of sending them to landfill. \nThe same idea applies to food. Thanks to a partnership with Tafel Köln e.V.\, exhibitors can hand over leftover catering from their stands at the end of each fair day\, and the food goes to people in need in Cologne and the surrounding area.\n \nORGATEC\, October 27-30\, 2026\nVenue: Koelnmesse\, Cologne\, plus Design Post Köln\nSize: 500+ Exhibitors\nParallel event: idd cologne\, 27-31 October 2026\nSpecial exhibition: Eames Pavilion System by Kettal\, Hall 10.2\, Stand N-048\nFor tickets and info: visit Orgatec.com\nEntry to Design Post Köln is free of charge
