SUMMARY:FIND Singapore - Design Fair Asia: a global showcase
DESCRIPTION:From returning highlights to exciting debuts\, FIND Singapore shines a spotlight on the pulse of design across Asia and Europe – all at Southeast Asia’s most influential design fair. FIND – Design Fair Asia 2025\, a flagship event of Singapore Design Week\, returns from 11 to 13 September 2025 at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre\, reaffirming its position as the region’s premier design platform with a steadily expanding global reach. This edition centres on a vibrant showcase of national pavilions\, each reflecting its country’s evolving design story. \nStretching from Europe to Southeast Asia\, the pavilions illustrate both diversity and the shared ideals driving today’s global design scene. Italy\, a founding presence at FIND\, returns with leading furniture and interior brands. Joining them are Singapore\, Thailand\, Czech Republic\, and Indonesia\, along with collective pavilions from France\, Hong Kong\, and Taiwan – each contributing unique perspectives and craftsmanship. Together\, these pavilions affirm FIND’s role as more than a marketplace: it is a crossroads for cultural exchange and design diplomacy. \nDiscover Singapore Design Week 2025 \nFind Singapore 2025 \nASEAN: an emerging market \nIn an era of shifting supply chains\, tariff uncertainties\, and intensifying global trade tensions\, design and furniture brands are increasingly looking to Asia – especially ASEAN – as a resilient\, high-growth region of more than 680 million people. Vietnam has become the world’s second-largest furniture exporter\, with yearly exports surpassing USD 10 billion\, fuelled in part by US-China trade realignment. With the ASEAN furniture market projected to grow over 5% CAGR through 2029\, the region offers not only cost efficiencies and favourable trade terms\, but also strong domestic demand propelled by urbanisation and an expanding middle class. Southeast Asia is firmly positioned as a critical driver of global design and furniture growth. \nLuxury developments such as Singapore’s Park Nova and Bangkok’s The Residences at Mandarin Oriental are also boosting demand for premium interiors. Hospitality is another major force: Hilton’s Asia Pacific portfolio surpassed 1\,000 operating hotels in December 2024\, a sharp jump from 761 the year before and ahead of its 2025 target. Accor has signed 27 new projects\, adding 8\,100 keys across ASEAN markets including Singapore\, Indonesia\, and Vietnam. Indonesia and Thailand are seeing a surge of luxury villas\, resorts\, and serviced apartments in Bali and Phuket. As high-end resorts and boutique hotels proliferate\, demand for sustainable\, design-led\, and durable furniture is climbing. This creates a prime opportunity for brands offering bespoke craftsmanship and eco-conscious materials to become preferred partners in ASEAN’s fast-evolving hospitality ecosystem. \nDiscover SingFEST 2025 \nFind Singapore 2024 \nItalian Pavilion at FIND Singapore 2025 \nSupported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA)\, the Italian Pavilion once again brings a strong selection of companies embodying Italy’s reputation for design excellence\, innovation\, and lifestyle. SUMMARY:NeoCon Chicago\, the office interior design show
DESCRIPTION:NeoCon is North America’s most important trade show\, dedicated to office interior design. It has taken place annually in June at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart since 1969. The next edition takes place June 9-11\, 2025. \nThe Merchandise Mart in Chicago \nThe post-World War II period was a testament to human resilience and creativity in adversity. In Europe\, architects and designers\, despite the need to rebuild from rubble and scarce finances\, invented innovative solutions that have left an indelible mark in history. Even in the United States\, where reconstruction was not a necessity\, the level of creative production in contract interior design in the mid-century was nothing short of astounding. Florence Knoll\, a pioneer in her own right\, brought together renowned designers and architects to create furniture for Knoll\, while leading the way in office design. George Nelson and Robert Propst\, with their visionary thinking\, conceived Herman Miller’s Action Office. \nDiscover IDS – Interior Design Show in Toronto  \nIn this sparkling mood\, the first International Contract Exposition and Congress took place in 1967 at Chicago’s McCormick Place\, with more than 200 exhibitors in office design and furniture fields. Unfortunately\, a fire destroyed the venue\, and the Merchandise Mart then became the site of the first NeoCon in Chicago. The first NeoCon\, which ran June 22-27\, 1969\, had 750 exhibitors. More than a hundred\, including moderators and speakers\, participated in the seminars and conferences.  \nDiscover Domotex 2024 \nThe NeoCon in Chicago \nA trade show for office and contract interior design\nIn the following decades\, many things happened in North America\, both in office interior design and furniture design. In 1973\, the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA) was established. At the same time\, the American Institute of Decorators (AID) and the National Society of Interior Designers (NSID) came together in 1975\, to establish the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). IBM introduced the first PC in 1981\, and in 1984\, the first Apple Macintosh came out. Computers greatly influenced office interior design\, as computer use required new chairs and desks\, with different postures. Stylistically\, with the first Memphis exhibition in Milan in 1981\, Postmodernism spread from architecture to furniture. Green guidelines also provide an increasingly effective answer to how to set up exhibition spaces with full respect to the environment so that a major trade fair event such as the Salone becomes increasingly sustainable. \nThe aim is to encourage all exhibitors and provide them with concrete indications to support the innovative and eco-friendly design of temporary booths. From Salone’s point of view\, this means prioritizing the well-being of all stakeholders and achieving a positive balance between the social\, economic\, and environmental aspects. \nDiscover the best booths at Milan Salone del Mobile 2024 \nWhy visit\nThe Salone del Mobile.Milano is for professionals only\, is open to the general public only on Saturday and Sunday\, and to students on Friday\, Saturday and Sunday.\nInterior designers\, architects\, and information and communication professionals visit the Salone for several reasons. SUMMARY:Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair
DESCRIPTION:The Stockholm Furniture Fair began in 1952 as a showcase of Scandinavian design. Furniture for public spaces occupied an increasing amount of space\, and the Fair became a leader in Scandinavia. \n2002\nIn 2002\, the Stockholm Design Week was started to complement the Fair. Thus\, the second week of February became the most important week of the year for Scandinavian design. \n2003\nIt was the year of the first Greenhouse\, the arena for emerging designers and design schools. In Greenhouse\, there are prototypes of young people seeking manufacturers on show. \n2004\nIn 2004\, the Stockholm Furniture Fair invited an internationally acclaimed designer to create a lounge in the Entrance Hall for the first time. From 2004 onward\, each year\, the Stockholm Design Fair invited a different designer as a Guest of Honor. \n2010s\nIn 2010\, the Fair redesigned Hall A\, and the size of the fair increased. International presence has been expanding year by year. \n2014\nIn conjunction with the Fair\, the Stockholm Design Talks have been launched. The lectures are attended by various figures who excel in design and architecture. \nDiscover Formafantasma at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2024 \nReading Room by Formafantasma at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2024 \nStockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2025\nAfter a forced three-year hiatus due to the pandemic\, the Stockholm Furniture Fair returned to full capacity in 2023. SUMMARY:Design Miami\, December 2024
DESCRIPTION:Design Miami 2024 is back for the 20th edition at Pride Park in Miami\, from December 4 – 8\, 2024\, with Preview Day on December 3. The curator of this year’s edition\, Glenn Adamson\, who just curated an exhibition dedicated to Nike at Vitra Design Museum\, chose Blue Sky as the leading theme for 2024. Forty-five world-leading galleries present contemporary and historical highlights demonstrating the power of a ‘blue sky thinking’ approach to design – past\, present\, and future. \nDesign Miami brief history\nIn 2005\, entrepreneur Craig Robins and gallerist Ambra Medda founded Design Miami following the renovation of the Miami Design District\, transformed into one of the world’s most important centers for design\, fashion\, food\, and art. During the following years\, Design Miami set up Design Miami.Basel\, and\, in recent years\, Design Miami.Paris\, Design Miami.LA.\nIn October of 2023\, Basic.Space announced the acquisition of Design Miami. Jesse Lee\, the CEO and Founder of Basic.Space\, is now the chairman of the Design Miami board\, with Jennifer Roberts remaining as CEO. \nDiscover Design Miami.Paris 2024 \n \nDesign Miami 2024: Under a Blue Sky\nThe Blue Sky theme invites diverse engagement from exhibitors\, underpinned by a commitment to design that exceeds expectations through bold leaps of imagination\, thoughtful material innovation\, and a respect for the natural world that houses us all under one\, shared sky. Under this shared theme\, we can identify several key thematic threads. \nTaking a ‘blue sky thinking’ approach\, the theme celebrates design as a fundamentally optimistic human activity\, giving way to radical invention through conceptual and material innovation. \nThe Future Perfect (New York) reflects on the curatorial theme Blue Sky through a curated presentation of almost 100 new works from over 20 artists and designers\, including Anina Major\, Laurids Gallée\, Olivia Cognet\, Vikram Goyal\, and Sophie Lou Jacobsen. The exhibition space continues exploring bifurcation\, leveraging the concept of day and night occurring under a singular sky. \nOne-half of the booth will showcase works from a myriad of emerging and established artists\, including the likes of Chris Wolston\, Floris Wubben\, Jane Yang-D’Haene\, John Hogan\, Lindsey Adelman\, and Thompson Street Studio. This constellation of objects comprises pieces made especially for the fair alongside works that feel familiar in origin\, but represent massive leaps in skill and practice. The second side will center on New Delhi-based designer Vikram Goyal\, who is making his United States debut at Design Miami. Trained as an engineer\, Goyal’s work utilizes artisanal techniques apparent in the rich legacy of Indian craft\, to create modern and contemporary designs. \nLiving with Design: the bedroom\nThe theme also focuses on the many ways design offers insight into our living habits. Sarah Myerscough Gallery (London) will delve into the forms and dimensions of the bedroom space. The curated exhibition showcases a collection of works from designers and artists\, all centered around furnishing a bedroom. \nHighlights include an Ethereal bed and accompanying side tables by distinguished designer Marc Fish\, whose creative process focuses on material research. Tadeas Podracky\, an experimental designer based in the Czech Republic\, contributes a striking mirror – evocative of the opulent aesthetics of Rococo design. Complementing these pieces\, there’s a monumental cleft wardrobe by Peter Marigold and Tadanori Tozawa\, introducing an architectural presence to the space. Additionally\, several specially commissioned works by a diverse array of designers – including the likes of Gareth Neal\, Lin Fanglu\, Diana Scherer\, and Nic Webb – enrich the bedroom space with craftsmanship and artistic vision\, inviting viewers to reconsider the significance of their own personal sanctuaries. \nThe living room\nLamb Gallery (London) debuts in the fair’s Curio program\, presenting an immersive environment welcoming visitors into a living room setting. The Magnetic Midnight Maison exhibition unveils Lucía Echavarría’s newest capsule collection. Exploring Echavarría’s anthology of Colombian craft\, and drawing inspiration from Miami’s surrounding coastal palette and Art Deco design cues\, the furniture collection blends traditional Colombian artistry with a current Miami flair. \nDiscover Design Miami.Basel 2024 \nThe Magnetic Maison\, collection by Lucía Achavarría from Lamb Gallery \nArt design from Ukraine\nUkrainian artist\, Victoria Yakusha (Antwerp) returns to the Design Miami Curio program in 2024 to present her new collection\, Grun. Yakusha’s latest collection explores the extraordinary land of Ukrainian Polissia – home to boundless forests\, dense carpets of soft moss\, and sleepy swamps. When creating the collection\, Yakusha was inspired to create a series of works that transcend mere functionality\, to evoke an emotional response and an authentic connection to the natural world. Each design presents a unique geometry that mirrors its natural inspiration\, while dark green upholstery evokes moss-covered forest hills and features beaded details reminiscent of morning dew. \nGrun armchair by Victoria Yakusha \nFrom Italy: a Gaetano Pesce special edition with Meritalia\nIn this year’s Curio program\, Meritalia (Milan) presents the exhibition Le Edizioni del Pesce. The gallery spotlights one of the great Italian design masters\, Gaetano Pesce\, to pay homage to his creativity and ongoing creative partnership with the brand. A thread throughout previous editions of Design Miami\, Meritalia connects Gaetano’s impression in the United States with his roots in Italian design\, presenting a range of items – from umbrella racks and coat hangers to mirrors and lamps\, all showcasing his unparalleled skill in manipulating unusual materials. \nUnder One Sky: A Global Outlook\nThe theme also draws on the concept of our global community living under one sky\, with galleries from around the globe coming together at Design Miami to spotlight artistic voices worldwide.\nBased in Mumbai\, æquō Gallery (Mumbai) highlights a unique blend of India’s traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design to present a curated selection of pieces all speaking to new explorations\, narratives\, and design dialogues. This year’s presentation will feature works by Frédéric Imbert\, Valériane Lazard\, and Florence Louisy\, amongst others. Each piece embodies æquō’s philosophy: a balanced collaboration where the designer and artisan share equal prominence. Focusing on contemporary Japanese artists\, Ippodo Gallery (New York) similarly focuses on traditional materials or mediums such as ceramic\, metal\, and wood to trace the journey of recursive design\, engineering\, and prototyping over the years. \nNew Voices at Design Miami 2024\nA stage for emerging talent\, this year’s fair will introduce an array of emerging designers and debut exhibitors including BOCCARA GALLERY\, Dobrinka Salzman\, Donzella\, Gallery Sally Dan-Cuthbert\, JCRD Design\, and Theoreme Editions within the Gallery program. Making their debut within the Curio program includes 1882 LTD\, Anna Karlin\, blunk space\, Lamb Gallery\, Meritalia\, Mouvements Modernes\, Nader Gammas\, NUOVA\, Roham Shamekh\, and a group presentation by Tanya Singer\, Errol Evans\, Chris Nicholson\, and Trent Jansen; and within the Special Projects program are Alexis Cogul\, Mathieu Lehanneur (designer of the Olympic Torch and the Olympic Cauldron for Paris Olympics 2024)\, R & Company x Haas Brothers\, The Spaceless Gallery\, and Basic.Space Shop. \nWhy visit\nDesign Miami connects the world through extraordinary collectible design\, with live fairs that bring together galleries\, designers\, brands\, experts\, collectors\, and enthusiasts. Each edition of Design Miami features museum-quality 20th and 21st-century furniture\, lighting\, and objets d’art from the world’s top galleries. Moreover\, it showcases immersive design collaborations with celebrated brands. Design Miami’s flagship fairs take place alongside Art Basel in Miami\, Florida\, each December\, in Basel\, Switzerland\, each June\, in Paris\, France\, each October in conjunction with Art Basel Paris\, and in Los Angeles in Spring. \nDesign Miami\, December 4-8\, 2024\nFor professionals and general public\, admission ticket\nSize: one venue\, over 40 galleries\, around 30\,000 visitors\nVisit DesignMiami.com for info \nSome images from Design Miami 2023

Several key thematic threads emerge within the diverse presentations from over 20 international galleries set to go on show. \nMaterial Marvels\nThis year’s gallery program presents pioneering examples of collectible design by world-leading craftsmanship with a deep appreciation for materiality. Galerie Desprez-Bréhéret (Paris) and debut Paris exhibitor Galerie Yves Gastou (Paris) present a collection of pieces by Jean Touret.  \nTable\, tabouret and totem by Jean Touret & Artisans de Marolles at Galerie Desprez Beheret. Each piece is on display in Paris for the first time. Highlights include Raphael Navot’s Encompass sofa\, which sits at the presentation’s heart. The gallery also showcases Dr. Samuel Ross’ Amnesia or platelet apparition? and ANAESTHESIA I – both reflecting upon the evocative power of materials. Other highlights include a rare and early ceiling lamp by Ettore Sottsass. \nAnaesthesia I by Dr. Samuel Ross at Friedman Benda. Photo Timothy Doyon \nThe Legacy of Modernism\nThis year’s gallery program also pays homage to the profound legacy of Modernism. Galerie Patrick Seguin (Paris) presents the legacy of French Modernism through a curated collection of 20th-century collectible masterpieces by designers including Jean Prouvé\, Le Corbusier\, and Jean Royère. The striking dialogue with the classical interiors of L’hôtel de Maisons speaks to French design’s rich history and evolution.  \nMeanwhile\, Galerie Downtown-Laffanour (Paris) places 20th-century French masterpieces in conversation with 21st-century icons. A thoughtful selection of works by French luminaries Charlotte Perriand\, Jean Prouvé\, and Serge Mouille is presented alongside visionary works by Ron Arad\, Choi Byung Hoon\, and Ettore Sottsass.  \nDesign Miami.Paris Design at Large Highlights\nThis year’s Paris fair also offers an extensive Design at Large program. It includes rare and significant works presented across the courtyard\, interior and gardens of L’hôtel de Maisons. The 17 presentations set to go on show span contemporary and historic highlights.  \nFriedman Benda (New York/LA/Paris) and Carpenters Workshop Gallery (London/Paris/New York/Los Angeles) present two works by celebrated American designer Wendell Castle (1932-2018)\, known for his groundbreaking approach to design and his crucial addition to the field’s sculptural vocabulary. \nAnother key highlight comes from Galerie Downtown-LAFFANOUR (Paris)\, which brings a Jean Prouvé post-war prefabricated house. It was originally built in 1946 in Prouvé’s home village\, Carnac. The house was designed with easy assembly and dismantling in mind\, intended to house his family. The only remaining building with Prouve’s signature character intact\, the house references a rich historical dimension. \nThe Carnac House\, by Jean Prouvé for Galerie Dowtown LAFFANOUR \nSalon 94 Design (New York) presents two editions of Rick Owens’s Tomb Chair. Through his choice of subtle and rare materials\, Owens suggests the beauty of nature\, inspired by his favorite shapes from Eileen Gray to Brâncuşi to the skateparks in California.  \nWhy visit\nDesign Miami.Paris is the French edition of Design Miami\, and like the other shows it is a collectors’ fair. The brand worked with German designer Lilo Klinkenberg of Studio Lilo\, who realized the concept for green areas. \nThe Corte EDIT will host metal furnishing elements\, structural beams in steel; an explosive nature will interact with the existing architecture\, welcoming visitors into a dreamlike space right in the heart of Naples dedicated to dialogue and conviviality. Feudi di San Gregorio\, the historic winemaker from Irpinia\, has managed the lounge in this area for the third year. SUMMARY:CIFF Shanghai - China International Furniture Fair
DESCRIPTION:CIFF Shanghai returns to the Shanghai Hongqiao National Exhibition & Convention Center\, on September 11-14\, 2024. This is the 54th edition of CIFF\, the most important furniture design fair in China\, and one of the leading ones in the world. The first edition of this design event in Shanghai took place in 2015\, so the next one will be the 10th\, as CIFF Shanghai also ran in 2020\, despite the pandemic. \nDiscover CIFF Shanghai 2024 \nDesign East Show 2023 \nThe Shanghai show hosts over 1\,500 exhibitors\, representing the entire furniture supply chain. In fact\, CIFF Shanghai features home\, office and outdoor furniture\, decoration\, upholstery fabrics\, and machinery for the furniture industry. There are more than 150\,000 visitors from about 200 countries and regions worldwide. \nDesign in Shanghai\nThe design content of CIFF Shanghai is always very high. Since the first edition\, CIFF has been hosting the East Design Show. The exhibition\, curated by Zhu Xiaojie (a renowned interior designer)\, host students and young designers\, and let them express themselves around a theme. In addition to students and young designers\, several emerging brands exhibit here. This year\, the exhibition will be called Creative Design Showcase\, and the team of designer Zhu Xiaojie also curate it this time. \nDiscover CIFF Guangzhou \nEast Design Show 2016 \nAt CIFF Shanghai\, one can see real living design trends. Many Chinese brands are now of international relevance\, such as Camerich\, HC28\, Chic Casa\, Teesure\, Hik\, Coomo\, DAaZ\, Mextra\, Dou Home\, and M°NACA. Imagination – Contemporary Design Life Exhibition will combine exhibitions and interviews to inspire creativity and discover the design of living trends. \nDiscover CIFF Guangzhou 2024 \nArmchair by Roderik Vos for HC28\, CIFF Shanghai 2023 \nGreat international architects at CIFF Shanghai\nCIFF Shanghai also has a tradition of collaboration with international designers and architects. In 2019\, for example\, the conference “Architecture: from Alvaro Siza’s Modernism to the Digital Future” took place. The forum star was Alvaro Siza\, the Portuguese architect who designed the China Design Museum of Bauhaus Collection\, in Hangzhou\, a building opened in 2018 that houses the Bauhaus Collection of the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou (CAA). The forum\, titled “Designed for Humans: From Alvaro Siza’s Modernism into the Digital Future\,” organized by CIFF and Aedes Architecture Forum\, brought together seven world-renowned architects. \nDiscover the contemporary office at CIFF Guangzhou 2024 \nCamerich Pavilion by studio Alvaro Siza Vieira\, 2019 \nThey were Sou Fujimoto\, António Choupina\, Anouk Legendre\, Philip Feng Yuan-a professor at Tongji University; Martha Thorne\, secretary of the Pritzker Prize; Mario Carpo\, professor at University College London; and Mette Ramsgaard Thomsen\, professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. The subject of the conference was production in a digital future. \nAlso in 2024\, there will be an exhibition dedicated to Álvaro Siza\, Siza Theme Exhibition\, an exhibition on his design and architecture. \nThe exhibits at CIFF Shanghai\nSeveral brands collaborate with international designers and architects\, but Camerich\, an internationally renowned company\, takes advantage of CIFF Shanghai to explore topical issues in design and architecture\, designing booths of great interest. In 2019 for example\, it was the turn of the Siza Pavilion for Camerich\, a more than 700 square meters pavilion named “Portuguese Elephant.” Besides the size\, which was definitely large\, what stood out in that project was the attention paid to the booth’s architecture\, rather than the display of products. \nDiscover Cersaie Bologna 2024 \nCamerich Pavilion by Alvaro Siza\, 2019 \nFirst of all\, to create a silent and rarefied atmosphere inside the pavilion\, the outer walls were made of a material that insulated from heat and noise\, covered with mineral wool and aluminum\, with an additional silver layer that was both scenic and fireproof. The floors were made of natural oak\, the walls were white plaster\, and the rooms were revealed in succession\, as in the courtyards of Chinese houses. In fact\, the pavilion had seven entrances\, which created different viewpoints. Similarly\, the company chose to display only two products\, illustrating the various stages of their creation\, from design to fine-tuning. \n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n\nNeri & Hu x Camerich Pavilion\, 2022\nIn 2022\, on the other hand\, the world-renowned firm Neri & Hu designed a sustainable and recyclable stand for Camerich\, as well as a very impressive one. A lattice of more than 1\,000 bamboo canes drew a space where visitors moved freely. The structure could be expanded or narrowed as needed\, and besides\, bamboo is a particularly sustainable wood\, that grows quickly and is suitable for many processes. The bamboo structure enclosed the walls on the outside\, leaving only a tiny entrance. Inside\, there was an articulated pathway\, in a succession of corridors and islands with furniture products. The various islands thus became rooms\, real domestic settings\, reminiscent of a real home. \n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n\nDesign Eden: A New Paradigm\nThe next edition of CIFF Shanghai takes place from September 11 to 14\, 2024. The claim of the next edition will be “Design Eden”\, to emphasize the cultural and design component of the fair. Indeed\, at CIFF Shanghai\, design and business integrate seamlessy\, and a community of 300\,000 designers finds multiple opportunities for cultural enrichment and business opportunities. \nWhy visit\nCIFF Shanghai is one of China’s most influential design and furniture events. In addition to the furniture exhibition\, there are several side events\, such as CIFF Select Show\, which selects products with the highest design content. On the other hand\, design Eden – Contemporary Design Trade Fair will welcome Chinese brands specializing in high-end design\, brands known worldwide. In addition to design products\, CIFF offers an extensive program of side activities\, such as forums and seminars with Chinese and international guests. Finally\, the Creative Design Showcase\, curated by designer Zhu Xiaojie’s team\, is an excellent opportunity to see emerging designers and brands up close. \nCIFF Shanghai\, September\, 11-14\, 2024\nCIFF Shanghai is for professionals only\nSize: 1\,500 exhibitors\, 150\,000 visitors in 2023 \nVisit CIFF-sh.com website for more info
