SUMMARY:Paris Design Week 2025
DESCRIPTION:Paris Design Week 2025 celebrates its 15th edition\, with a program rich in exhibitions\, involving renowned institutions\, established design houses\, emerging talents and design schools. Paris Design Week Factory\, alongside Maison&Objet\, acts as a central thread in the city’s evolving creative narrative\, showcasing 130 emerging and established talents. It’s one of many standout moments across vibrant neighborhoods like Le Marais\, Saint-Germain-des-Prés\, Opéra\, and Bastille. \nIn 2025\, Paris Design Week takes place September 4-13\, 2025 \nFolie\, by designer Lucas Huillet and perfumer Alexandre Helwani\, at Hôtel de Sully \nFrom galleries and concept stores to leading design schools\, this immersive circuit breaks down traditional barriers.\nNow more energized than ever\, Paris’s iconic landmarks are being transformed by contemporary installations that challenge and play with the historic codes of these monuments. \nParis Design Week becomes a stage where new voices\, renowned institutions\, established houses\, and international figures come together in a lively\, unfiltered exchange.\nThis year\, the event coincides with the 100th anniversary of Les Arts Décoratifs – a perfect backdrop to spotlight iconic brands such as Leblon Delienne\, Tiptoe\, Archik Paris\, and Oberflex as they debut their newest collections. \nFrom one stop to the next\, a bold and emotionally rich design culture leads the way.\nParis provokes\, deconstructs\, questions\, and reinvents.\nThroughout the week\, its neighborhoods transform into a sprawling open-air gallery\, with 375 extraordinary venues at the forefront. \nThe avant-garde gathers at Factory – and beyond\nParis Design Week Factory acts as a launchpad for tomorrow’s daring creatives\, those willing to take risks for meaningful design.\nA core of avant-garde spirit\, Factory unites design schools\, international delegations\, and collective studios like JAD (Jardin des Métiers d’Art et du Design).\nThese creative forces stretch across Factory sites\, from the 4th arrondissement to the Galerie des Gobelins in the 13th\, and to Aubervilliers with its POUSH program.\nJust a few steps apart\, the Espace Commines\, home to Collectible Design\, and 116 rue de Turenne\, focused on Editorial Design\, are interlinked by international showcases woven in between. \nMonoprix teams up with École Camondo for a new “Créateur” Collection\nFor the first time\, Monoprix partners with a design school for one of its signature “Créateur” collections. École Camondo\, known for its Master’s program in interior architecture and design\, takes center stage. Monoprix tapped into the talent of graduates within five years of earning their degrees\, supported by a jury of experts including designers Ionna Vautrin and Jean-Baptiste Fastrez.\nThree names stand out: Blanche Mijonnet\, Léo Achard\, and Stanislas Dieupart\, each unveiling their collection this fall at 116 rue de Turenne. Expect future collector’s pieces. \nDiscover Maison & Objet January 2025 \nMonoprix with École Camondo. This is an innovative platform dedicated to female artists and designers who work across various mediums and experimental techniques. Each artist crafts a personal\, imaginative narrative. Huihui explores the interplay between micro and macro through immersive textile installations. Fei Fei creates symbolic expressions using lambswool\, while Wei Chen sculpts with sugar. Also featured are the bold\, expressive worlds of Hua Li\, Cheer Huang\, Atelier Murmur\, and Ji Lingzi. \nNew Factory spotlight: Le 84\nFor the 2025 edition\, a brand-new group exhibition space debuts at 84 rue de Turenne. An extension of Factory\, this gallery brings together 12 rising design houses and established international names offering fresh takes on the tradition of decorative art. The exhibition focuses on material excellence and refined form.\nAmong the featured designers: blown-glass works by the three Stokowski brothers\, textile-inspired pieces by Hugo Falaise\, and a striking new design language by Charles-Emmanuel Deppierraz.\nThe gallery opens from September 4–8\, 2025. \nDiscover Milan Design Week 2025 \nLainamac at Paris Design Week 2025 \nGalerie des Gobelins: design schools\nAcross the river\, the next generation continues the conversation with “Vivement Demain\,” now in its fourth edition at the Galerie des Gobelins. Organized by the Campus des Métiers d’Art\, the show features graduation projects from around ten design schools. \n“Up in the air” with Mathieu Lehanneur \nA celebrated guest returns to illuminate the Parisian sky for the 15th anniversary of Paris Design Week. The poetic silhouette of a helium balloon\, first seen during summer 2024\, returns\, together with the Olympic cauldron’s flame\, both designed by Mathieu Lehanneur. Soaring over 60 meters above the city\, the balloon adds enchantment to the capital\, hovering above events and rekindling the spirit of the Olympic Games through September 14. \nUp in the air – the Balloon and the Olympics Cauldron for Paris 2024\, by Mathieu Lehanneur. From every corner of the world\, they arrive in Paris\, seeking new names\, bold collaborations\, and unexpected moments. It’s a one-of-a-kind blend of energy\, talent\, and inspiration. \nCraftmanship takes the stage\nCelebrated for its legacy in decorative arts\, Paris also honors fine craftsmanship this September. And with 2025 marking the 100th anniversary of the Art Deco movement\, the timing couldn’t be more fitting. \nWhy visit\nDesign Weeks can become alternative tourism destinations for those who appreciate design events. Paris Design Week\, for example\, is an opportunity to see places and areas off the usual paths. In general\, these are nice areas\, with beautiful buildings\, historic mansions\, furniture and decoration showrooms\, areas where it is also lovely to walk around\, and where you can also find fewer tourists. Plus\, one can see beautiful\, original objects and decorations and make interesting purchases. For professionals\, it’s always an opportunity to find inspiration and meet designers and businesses in a fascinating setting. \nParis Design Week\, September\, 4-13\, 2024\nParis Design Week is for professionals and general public\nSize: over 300 exhibitors\, 200\,000 visitors \nVisit Maison-Objet.com/ParisDesignWeek website for more info

SUMMARY:Dubai Design Week 2025
DESCRIPTION:Dubai Design Week 2025\, taking place from 4-9 November 2025\, marks the event’s 11th edition at Dubai Design District (d3). The week-long festival stands as the Middle East’s leading platform for design and creativity\, bringing together architects\, designers\, brands\, universities\, and cultural institutions from around the world. Through exhibitions\, installations\, talks\, workshops\, activations\, and fairs\, Dubai Design Week highlights how design fosters innovation\, sustainability\, and cross-cultural dialogue. \nDiscover Dubai Design Week 2024 \nDubai Design Week Installations \nAbwab – Regional Design Platform\nAbwab (Arabic for “doors”) remains one of Dubai Design Week’s signature initiatives\, supporting creative practitioners from West\, South\, and East Asia and Africa through annually commissioned pavilions. Since its inception\, Abwab has featured over 180 designers from 15+ countries\, reflecting regional narratives within global design conversations. \nThe 2025 theme\, In the Details\, invites architects\, researchers\, and designers to explore ornamentation as a language of design. It challenges participants to reinterpret traditional motifs\, surfaces\, and patterns as immersive spatial experiences – drawing from the ornamental histories of architecture\, textiles\, and craft to express new material and aesthetic relationships. \nThe 2025 commission\, titled “Stories of the Isle and the Inlet”\, is presented by Maraj\, a Bahrain-based architecture and design platform founded by Latifa Alkhayat and Maryam Aljomairi. Their installation explores the ecological and cultural identity of Nabih Saleh\, a Bahraini island situated between Tubli’s wetlands and Sitra’s industrial zone. Combining oral histories with ornament and textile craft\, the work reflects on a vanishing landscape\, merging embroidery\, storytelling\, and environmental awareness. Created with local artisans and inspired by the thob al nashil\, the installation’s embroidered mesh structure visualizes native flora\, fauna\, and the tidal rhythms of Tubli Bay\, underscoring the interdependence of craft\, ecology\, and architecture. \nDiscover Downtown Design Dubai 2025 \n \nUrban Commissions – Designing for Public Space\nThe Urban Commissions competition returns in 2025 with the theme “Courtyard”\, examining this spatial typology as a vital form of communal urban infrastructure. Designers were invited to reinterpret the courtyard as both architectural and social space – balancing openness and enclosure\, public and private\, intimacy and interaction. \nThe winning project\, “When Does a Threshold Become a Courtyard?”\, is by Some Kind of Practice\, a UAE-based studio founded by Omar Darwish and Abdulla Abbas. The work explores the housh (الحوش) – the traditional Emirati courtyard—through shifting walls\, open thresholds\, and the transitional presence of the liwan (الليوان). Drawing on fieldwork across coastal and mountain settlements\, the project reframes the courtyard not as a fixed typology but as a dynamic condition shaped by climate\, craft\, airflow\, and movement – a living intersection of design\, behavior\, and environment. \nInstallations\nMore than 30 installations will populate Dubai Design District (d3) during the 2025 edition. These large-scale\, site-specific works investigate how design\, science\, and technology can reclaim materials from the past while advancing sustainable futures. Participating architects and studios will showcase interactive and conceptual projects that transform the urban landscape into a design laboratory open to all. \nDiscover Milan Design Week 2025 \nInstallation at Dubai Design Week 2024 \nWorkshops – The Maker Space\nWorkshops take place in the Maker Space – Made by Mart®\, a pop-up hub dedicated to experimentation and education. Hosting over 45 sessions for all ages\, it offers a mix of expert-led masterclasses\, hands-on workshops\, and children’s activities spanning design\, art\, and technology. \n\nMasterclasses focus on professional growth – covering portfolio development\, presentation skills\, and creative strategy – led by design leaders and educators.\nHands-on workshops allow participants to engage directly with materials\, exploring links between craft\, science\, and digital fabrication. Topics range from natural pigment making and ceramics to woodwork\, digital design\, and photography.\nChildren’s workshops nurture curiosity and creativity through playful introductions to making\, encouraging families to value design as part of everyday life.\nExhibitions – Showcasing Design Innovation\n\nExhibitions are central to Dubai Design Week’s mission to foster creative exchange among institutions\, collectives\, and practitioners. In 2025\, the programme spans architecture\, design research\, art\, and education\, spotlighting projects that combine local insight with global relevance. \n \nd3 x RIBA | Architecture Exhibition\nOrganised by Dubai Design District in collaboration with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Gulf Chapter\, and supported by Bolon and Kvadrat\, the d3 Architecture Exhibition explores how environmental design fosters community and belonging. It brings together work by leading studios – Zaha Hadid Architects\, Foster + Partners\, BIG\, Grimshaw\, and Killa Design – alongside projects from the RIBA Future Architects and RIBA Middle East Awards. \nAl Jalila Cultural Centre for Children | Children’s Exhibition\nCurated by Kamal Al Zoubi\, this exhibition celebrates young ceramic artists and local craftsmanship. Alongside a pottery market featuring Emirati artisans\, visitors can join interactive ceramic workshops. The initiative reflects Al Jalila Centre’s mission to cultivate creativity and inclusivity among children and families. \nAmerican University of Sharjah – College of Architecture\, Art and Design (CAAD) | Six Degrees Offsite\nSix Degrees Offsite presents innovative projects by emerging designers and graduates from CAAD. The showcase includes architecture\, design management\, interior design\, multimedia\, and visual communication works. A week-long series of talks\, workshops\, and interactive sessions encourages collaboration and dialogue between academia and industry.Events include faculty talks on current research\, alumni panels on design practice in the UAE\, and a Mini CAAD Symposium introducing new academic programmes.  \n \nOther Exhibitions\n\nL’ÉCOLE School of Jewelry Arts – Poetry of Birds\nNYU Abu Dhabi – Digital Matter: Parametric Design Lab & Future Punk\nRIBA Future Architects & Student Awards Exhibition\nRIBA Middle East Awards\n\nActivations – Immersive Brand and Cultural Experiences\nActivations transform d3 into a multisensory landscape through projects by brands\, institutions\, and independent designers. The main hub is the Dubai Design District (d3)\, with satellite venues and events across the city.  \nThis year\, the theme explores the idea of design as a social connector\, in line with the UAE’s “Year of Community” initiative. Flagship elements include the anchoring fair Downtown Design (5-9 November) which brings together global and regional design brands. Also returning are the initiatives Abwab (which opens up talent from West\, South & East Asia and Africa) and Urban Commissions (this year themed around the “courtyard” as communal infrastructure). In this context\, the festival not only showcases objects and products with identity\, but places them within a broader cultural\, social and communal framework – making it a meaningful moment to discover how design in the region is evolving in both form and purpose. \nDubai Design Week\, November 4-9\, 2025\nFor professional and general public\nLocation: Dubai Design District (d3)\nSize: over 500 exhibitors\, 200\,000 visitors\nVisit website DubaiDesignWeek.ae for more info \n

DESCRIPTION:Alcova\, Milan’s foremost independent design platform\, announces the third edition of Alcova Miami\, taking place December 2 – 7\, 2025\, during Design Miami. Following the success of last year’s edition\, the international platform will once again inhabit the Miami River Inn\, the city’s oldest hotel\, nestled in the South River Drive Historic District in East Little Havana. \nFounded in Milan in 2018 by Valentina Ciuffi (Studio Vedèt) and Joseph Grima (Space Caviar)\, Alcova is a platform for designers\, companies\, institutions\, and researchers. Through its exhibitions set in architecturally significant sites\, over the past seven years Alcova has presented the work of more than 500 designers\, brands\, galleries\, and cultural institutions across six continents\, solidifying its reputation as a singular platform for experimentation\, research\, and emerging talent in contemporary design. \nThe visual identity of Alcova Miami 2025 project is conceived and designed by Studio Vedèt\, while Space Caviar oversees spatial planning and curation. \nDiscover Alcova at Milan Design Week 2025  \nAlcova at Design Miami 2024\, photo Piergiorgio Sorgetti\, courtesy Alcova \nAlcova at Miami River Inn \nThe 2024 edition of Alcova Miami took place at the Miami River Inn\, a peaceful retreat amid the vibrancy of Miami Art Week. This historic site\, a collection of pastel-toned Victorian mansions originally built in 1908 as a boarding house\, will host again in 2025 a diverse range of projects and site-specific installations matching its architectural character. \nTrue to Alcova’s ethos\, the Miami River Inn will unfold as a layered spatial story\, presenting works by innovative and visionary designers. Across a fluid and multifaceted path\, each installation will create moments of discovery\, connecting the venue’s wooden structures and encouraging visitors to navigate intuitively and with curiosity. \nThe complete lineup of participants and events will be revealed soon\, continuing Alcova’s mission to foreground experimental and forward-looking design.  \nAlcova at Design Miami 2024 \nThe Garden Game by Patricia Urquiola \nThe main partner of the third edition of Alcova Miami is the American furniture manufacturer Haworth. Haworth will introduce The Garden Game\, a new collaboration with Patricia Urquiola\, featuring a site-specific installation in the venue’s central courtyard. The installation transforms the oval courtyard’s grassy surface into a dynamic playground\, where a grid painted in Alcova’s signature pink becomes an open-ended invitation to move\, connect\, and interact. \nDiscover Alcova at Milan Design Week 2024  \nAlcova Design Miami 2025\, photo Piercarlo Quecchia\, courtesy Alcova \nRietveld’s Utrecht Outdoor armchair for Cassina and Cappellini’s Thinking Man Lido chair establish the scene. Each object occupies its own square within the grid – still and almost sculptural in presence – yet their arrangement can shift for an evening cocktail or one of Alcova’s garden conversations. Around them\, Haworth’s Cardigan Lounge chairs take position along the edges\, acting as lively onlookers that emphasize the rhythm and collective spirit animating the courtyard. \nUsing only a painted grid\, the installation borrows the visual language of American sports fields and graphic systems\, turning the courtyard into a joyful landscape. \nWhy visit \n\nExperience cutting-edge design in a historic setting\, like the Miami River Inn Motel\nDiscover global talent and experimental workAlcova is renowned for showcasing emerging voices and boundary-pushing projects from across the world\nEngage with site-specific installations\nSee award-winner designer Patricia Urquiola’s “The Garden Game” for Haworth\nSee one of the most exciting venue and exhibition at Design Miami 2025\n\nAlcova Miami\, December\, 2-7\, 2025 \nFor professional and general public\nLocation: Miami River Inn Motel\nSize: around 50 exhibitors\, 20\,000 visitors\nPaid admission\nVisit website Alcova.xyz for more info \n  \n

SUMMARY:Milan Design Week 2026: The Ultimate Guide
DESCRIPTION:Milan Design Week 2026 is the most influential design event in the world. Every April\, the city transforms into a global stage where the commercial power of the Salone del Mobile.Milano meets the creative energy of the Fuorisalone. \nWith over 1\,000 events\, navigating this week requires a strategic approach. This guide covers the essential districts\, high-traffic “catalyst” locations\, and professional advice for visitors and exhibitors alike. \nMilan Design Week Map 2025\n \n  \nMilan Design Week 2026: Key Info\nDates: April 19 – 26\, 2026 \nFuorisalone (City Events): April 19 – 26 \nSalone del Mobile (Fair): April 21 – 26 (at Rho Fiera Milano) \nOfficial Fair Website: salonemilano.it \nScale: 10+ Design Districts\, 1\,000+ Events\, 500\,000+ Visitors \nDiscover Milan Design Week history \nAlcova at Milan Design Week 2026\, Baggio Military Hospital \nUnderstanding the Framework: Salone vs. Fuorisalone\n\nSalone del Mobile.Milano: The official international furniture fair held at Rho-Fieramilano. It is a curated trade event focusing on furniture\, EuroCucina (Kitchens)\, FTK (Technology and appliances) Salone del Bagno (International Bathroom Exhibition)\, and SaloneSatellite (for designers under 35). Ticket mandatory\n\nLocated at Rho Fiera Milano\, this is the massive trade fair at the heart of the week. It is highly organized and sector-specific:\nEuroCucina: The biennial focus on high-end kitchens and appliances\nSalone del Bagno: Innovations in bathroom wellness and technology\nEuroluce: The world’s leading lighting exhibition\nSaloneSatellite: The launchpad for designers under 35. If you are looking for the “next big thing\,” this is the place\n\nFuorisalone: A decentralized collection of independent events across the city. Most are free and held in galleries\, warehouses\, or historic palazzos.  It is a spontaneous\, vibrant festival involving luxury fashion houses (like Hermès and Louis Vuitton) and tech giants (Samsung\, Huawei\, Google). Here\, design meets lifestyle\, art\, and technology\nThere is no single “official” Fuorisalone website\, as events are private; however\, platforms like Fuorisalone.it offer extensive crowd-sourced listings\n\n\nDiscover the guide to Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026 \nInstallation by Google at Milan Design Week 2025 \nThe 2026 Design Districts: where to go\nMilan is organized into districts\, each with a distinct creative identity: \n\nBrera Design District: The luxury heart of Milan\, home to prestigious showrooms and galleries\nDDDesign – via Durini Design District\nCertosa Design District: A rising star in the North-West\, focusing on industrial regeneration and large-scale innovation hubs\, in 2026 it hosts SuperPlayground\, at Superstudio Village\n\nTortona District: Featuring Superdesign Show and Tortona Rocks\, it remains a hub for international brands and immersive installations\nIsola Design Festival: The place for emerging talent\, circular economy projects\, and collectible design. \n5VIE: A blend of history and avant-garde design in the city’s oldest neighborhood.\nSarpi Design District: An emerging circuit integrating Milan’s Chinatown into the design conversation\n \nDiscover Milan Design Week 2025 map & agenda \n\n\nDesign Week Milan: Brera Design District \nThe “Catalyst” Locations in 2025: High-Traffic Powerhouses\nAccording to the Salone del Mobile industry reports\, certain events\, in 2025\, acted as catalysts\, drawing massive crowds due to their prestige and scale. \nPro Tip: These locations served as excellent starting points for curated itineraries. For those looking to exhibit\, positioning your event near a catalyst location is a powerful strategy to capture high “spillover” traffic and visibility. \n\nINTERNI (Università Statale): The undisputed center of gravity for large-scale architectural installations in the historic courtyards of the Statale University\n\nDDDesign – via Durini Design District\nAlcova 2026: Famed for activating forgotten spaces\, Alcova expands this year into two iconic venues: Villa Pestarini and the Ospedale Militare di Baggio (Military Hospital).\nMoscaPartners “Variations” (Palazzo Litta): A refined showcase of contemporary design set against the baroque splendor of one of Milan’s most beautiful palaces\nMasterly | The Dutch in Milano (Palazzo Giureconsulti): Situated next to the Duomo\, this is the essential hub for Dutch craftsmanship and innovation \n\n \nExhibitor Strategy: How to Stand Out\nExhibiting in Milan is a major investment. You have two main paths: \n\nIndependent Events: Total creative control\, but requires significant budget for location rental\, PR\, and logistics. Renting a private gallery or warehouse\, offers maximum visibility but requires a dedicated PR agency and an exhibition architect.\nCollective Exhibitions: Ideal for smaller brands. Hubs like Superdesign Show\, Isola\, or Fabbrica del Vapore provide a curated environment and shared visibility.\n\nStrategy: Ensure you have a defined communication plan. Media and buyers typically stay only 3–4 days; being “in the right place” (near a district hub or catalyst event) is vital. Unless you are a world-famous brand\, one-day events often get lost in the noise. Aim for at least 4-5 days of presence to ensure press and buyer coverage.\n\nTravel & Survival Logistics for 2026\nTransport: Getting Around the Crowds \nMilan’s public transport is excellent but will be under pressure. \n\nMetro & Trams: Use contactless payment (Credit Card/Smartphone) directly at the turnstiles.\nAvoid Taxis: During peak hours\, wait times can exceed 40 minutes.\nApps to Download: ATM Milano (Metro/Bus)\, Moovit (best for city routes)\, and Trenit (for trains).\n\nWhere to Stay (and How to Save) \nMilan becomes extremely expensive in April \n\nStay Outside the Center: Look for hotels in cities like Monza\, Saronno\, or Legnano. They are connected to Milan by Trenord trains in 20-30 minutes and are significantly cheaper.\nBook 6 Months Early: If you wait until January\, prices will double.\n\nAgain in 2026\, a strategic choice could be MiTo Design Connections\, a unique initiative that bridges the gap between Turin and Milan. \n\nTurin as a Design Hub: Only 40 minutes by high-speed train Milan-Turin-Milan\, Turin becomes a vibrant extension of Milan Design Week. It offers a curated blend of art\, culture\, and gastronomy at a more accessible pace. The high-speed train stops at Rho-Fieramilano\, during Salone del Mobile.Milano\nSeamless Logistics: MiTo offers complete hospitality services\, including premium hotel packages and seamless rail connections directly to the heart of the design events.\nExhibitor Benefits: For brands and professionals\, MiTo provides a dynamic setting for networking and relaxation\, away from the frantic crowds of central Milan\, without sacrificing proximity to the Salone\n\nWhy visit\nVisit Milan Design Week 2026 to witness the global epicenter of innovation\, where the world-class Salone del Mobile and 1\,000+ city-wide events merge into a living museum. It’s a unique chance to network with industry leaders and explore the future of living across iconic districts and high-traffic “catalyst” locations \nMilan Design Week 2026: Key Info\nDates: April 19 – 26\, 2026\nCity Events: April 19 – 26\nSalone del Mobile (Fair): April 21 – 26 (at Rho Fiera Milano)\nScale: 10+ Design Districts\, 1\,000+ Events\, 500\,000+ Visitors\nVisit the websites of the Design Districts for more info

SUMMARY:Genova Design Week 2026: "Balance"
DESCRIPTION:Contemporary design blends with the ancient maritime spirit of the city of Genoa. From June 3 to 7\, 2026\, Genova will again become the epicenter of design with the seventh edition of Genoa Design Week (GDW). \nOrganized by DiDe – Genoa Design District\, the event is not merely a showcase for furniture and design objects\, but a driving force for urban and cultural regeneration. For five days\, the city transforms into a vast open-air stage that brings squares\, historic buildings\, and the ancient harborfront to life\, engaging citizens\, professionals\, tourists\, and enthusiasts in a collective experience. \nDiscover Genova Design Week 2025 \nGenova Design Week 2026\nFor professionals and general public\nSize: 141 events\, 142 exhibitors\, 25\,000 visitors\nVarious locations \nVisit Didegenova.it for info \nView of Genoa \nThe 2026 Theme: “Balance”\nAfter exploring key concepts for the world of design such as Diffused Green (2021)\, Time (2022)\, Energy (2023)\, Design in Motion (2024)\, and Matter (2025)\, this year’s event focuses on a fascinating concept: Balance. \nIn an era marked by constant social\, technological\, and economic transitions\, balance is interpreted as the intrinsic ability of design to harmonize seemingly opposing demands. This does not refer to a static state or a compromise\, but rather to a constant dynamic capable of connecting: \n\n Form and function\n Manufacturing tradition and technological innovation\n Individual needs and ecological responsibility toward the environment\n\nEvents of Genoa Design Week 2026\nThe program for Genoa Design Week 2026 is structured around some of the most beloved and recognizable formats\, which have ensured the event’s success over the years. \nContainer 03: “Il Cielo in una Stanza” and the Challenge of Microliving\nInspired by Gino Paoli’s famous and poetic vision\, Genoa’s harbor and sky serve as the backdrop for a striking installation. Curated by Simona Finessi\, the exhibition route winds its way between the Old Port and the Darsena. Here\, ten architecture firms transform ten shipping containers into interior design projects.  \nThis year’s focus is Microliving. In a world ruled by limited spaces and flexible use\, the container becomes a laboratory for experimentation\, reimagining micro-living in a comfortable and innovative way. \nDiscover Tigullio Design District \nContainer 2\, 2025 \nDesigners Under 35 & Design Talk Festival\nThe future of design lives here. Curated by Laura Palazzini\, the Designers Under 35 exhibition offers a crucial showcase for emerging talent\, stimulating the emergence of new design languages focused on functionality and minimalism. In addition to the exhibitions\, young creatives will participate in meetings and workshops with established professionals. \nAt the same time\, the city is opening its most prestigious institutional venues for the Design Talk Festival\, a series of public talks moderated by Simona Finessi and Alfonso Femia. Here are the main events to mark on your calendar: \n\nPalazzo Tursi\, June 4: “City: Culture as the Driving Force Behind Urban Processes” – With Sandy Attia and Matteo Scagnol (MoDus Architects)\, Paolo Verri\, Mattia Palazzi (Mayor of Mantua)\, and Francesca Coppola.\nPalazzo della Regione Liguria\, June 5: “Surf and Turf” – With architects Leonardo Cavalli and Francesca Pintus of the international firm Oneworks\nPalazzo della ex Borsa Valori\, June 6: “Lectio Magistralis by Architect Odile Decq” – The French architect and founder of Studio Odile Decq will speak with Alfonso Femia and Filippo Manuzzi (President of Confindustria Ceramica) in the evocative Sala delle Grida \n\nPiazza Giustiniani\, Genova Historical centre \nWhat’s New in 2026\nThe event’s growth can also be measured by its new and ambitious curatorial\, artistic\, and local partnerships.  \n– F / A FakeAuthentic at Santa Maria di Castello\nFor the first time in Genoa\, the curatorial platform founded by architects Stefania Agostini and Luca Mostarda arrives. The splendid setting of Santa Maria di Castello (Sala della Cisterna)\, will host the exhibition SeeSaw (BILICO)\, an exploration of the unstable boundary between authenticity and artifice\, function and irony. In parallel\, the section MATERIALS IN TRANSIT | 28 Tables: From Discarded to Designed\, created in collaboration with ETH Zürich and curated by Débora Mesa Molina\, will showcase 28 experimental tables created from the recovery of discarded construction and industrial materials. \n– PuntaSanLorenzo: The Urban Beach in the Heart of the City\nFollowing the success of the “Annie” installation in 2025\, the caarpa architecture and landscape studio returns to amaze the public with a new interpretation of Piazza San Lorenzo. The square will be redesigned to resemble a stretch of the Ligurian coastline: beach umbrellas\, beach towels\, and beach gear will temporarily take over one of Genoa’s most monumental squares. An invitation for the public to sit\, linger\, and interact\, to experience the square beyond mere pedestrian traffic. \nPiazza San Lorenzo \n– Interior Architecture in Liguria\nHosted at Palazzo Saluzzo\, this exhibition shines a spotlight on local excellence and craftsmanship\, showcasing interior design projects from 50 architecture firms operating throughout the Liguria region. The exhibition\, enhanced by a special publication from Platform magazine\, will evolve into the Architecture Festival: two days of talks where selected architects will take the stage to share their design ideas and philosophies. \nThe Numbers Behind the Success: A Growing Trend\nTo understand the real impact of this event on the region\, just take a look at the data from the 2025 edition: \n\n141 events in total\, including conferences\, talks\, and cultural events\n142 exhibitors from major Italian cities (Milan\, Turin\, Bologna\, Florence\, Venice) and 5 major international cities (Paris\, Madrid\, Barcelona\, Valencia\, and Amsterdam)\n25 designers under 35 actively involved\nA dense network of architects studios participating in special formats (21 in Container\, 80 in Best Houses Design\, 24 in Design Radar)\n\nWhy visit\n\nA Unique Backdrop: See cutting-edge contemporary design contrast beautifully with Genoa’s historic palaces and ancient maritime waterfront.\nImmersive Installations: Experience the city transformed into an interactive playground—from shipping containers turned into futuristic micro-homes to a monumental city square reimagined as a Ligurian beach.\nGlobal Inspiration: Hear directly from architecture icons like Odile Decq and discover the next wave of global talent shaping the future of sustainable living. \n\nGenova Design Week 2026\nFor professionals and general public\nSize: 141 events\, 142 exhibitors\, 25\,000 visitors\nVarious locations \nVisit Didegenova.it for info \n  \n

SUMMARY:3daysofdesign in Copenhagen 2026: Make This Moment Matter
DESCRIPTION:The world of design often finds itself caught between two worlds: the reverence of the past and the speculation of the future. For 3daysofdesign 2026\, the focus shifts to the most profound place of all: the present. \nThe newly announced theme\, “Make This Moment Matter\,” serves as a call to action for designers\, architects\, and creatives worldwide to find purpose in the “now.” \nQuick Facts for 3daysofdesign 2026\n3daysofdesign\, Copenhagen\, June 10-12\, 2026\nFor professionals and general public\nSize: 460+brands\, 600+ events\, 60\,000+ visitors\nVarious locations\, 8 Design Districts\nVisit 3daysofdesign.dk for info \nDiscover 3daysofdesign 2025 \nDiscover the events in our curated map for 3daysofdesign 2026\n \n3daysofdesign 2026: the main theme\nThe theme for the 2026 edition of Copenhagen’s premier design festival is “Make This Moment Matter.” \nWhile Danish design is rooted in a legendary past and a visionary future\, this theme emphasizes that the only moment with the power to create change is the present. It encourages the global design community to move beyond speculation and take proactive\, meaningful action. \nKey pillars of the 2026 theme: \n\nDefining the “Why”: Design without purpose is static. Meaningful design requires a clear intention behind every creation.\nSustainability & Planet: Choosing materials that do not harm the environment.\nHuman Wellbeing: Crafting interiors and spaces that improve our daily lives.\nCommunity & Belonging: Building inclusive environments that foster connection.\n\nDiscover the history of 3daysofdesign \n3daysofdesign 2025 \nThe visual identity: Artwork by “On Display”\nEvery year\, 3daysofdesign unveils a new visual identity. For 2026\, the artwork was created by On Display\, a cross-disciplinary design studio and collective founded by Anders Gerning\, Marie Heissel\, and Tor S. Johannesen. \nSymbolism of the 2026 Artwork \nThe 2026 visual identity is a poetic collage featuring two primary elements: \n\nThe Black Lily in a Vase: A still life representing the beauty and stillness of the present.\nThe Origami Teller: Superimposed over the lily\, this playful\, universal object represents hidden answers and the anticipation of discovery.\n\nThe juxtaposition of these elements captures the “moment in between”—the transition from what was to what will be. \nWhy “Make This Moment Matter” matters for the design industry\nAs we look toward 2026\, the design industry faces a pivotal moment. The theme suggests that every choice—from material sourcing to spatial layout – has a ripple effect. By focusing on the present\, designers can create a legacy that starts today rather than waiting for an uncertain future. \nDiscover Dutch Design Week 2025 \n  \n \n3daysofdesign 2026: a Guide to the 8 Design Districts\, making this moment matter\nCopenhagen is once again preparing to transform into the global epicenter of creativity. As June 2026 approaches\, the city isn’t just hosting a festival; it’s providing a blueprint for how design can – and should – interact with our world. This year’s theme\, ‘Make This Moment Matter’\, serves as a call to action for intentionality\, clarity\, and care in everything we create and consume. \n3daysofdesign 2025 \nExploring the 8 Design Districts\n– Islands Brygge: The Waterfront Renaissance \nOnce a gritty landscape of warehouses and manufacturing\, Islands Brygge has evolved into a masterclass in urban transformation. Since the late 1990s\, former industrial zones have been reimagined as public spaces. \n\nWhat to expect: Contemporary architecture meeting historic industrial structures\, with the harbor front acting as a vibrant social hub.\n\nVIPP Garage\, at Islands Brygge District \n– District Christianshavn: The Artisan’s Anchor \nFounded by King Christian IV in the 17th century\, this district feels like a “city within a city.” Its Dutch-inspired canals were once the lifeblood of Danish trade. \n\nWhat to expect: A deep focus on craftsmanship and maritime history\, where workshops still echo the skills of centuries past.\n\nMaterial Matters\, exhibition in the Christianshavn District \n– District Holmen: Where Legacy Meets the Launchpad \nHolmen is a 300-year-old naval district that has traded warships for workstations. It is home to the Royal Danish Academy\, making it the literal starting point for the next generation of designers. \n\nWhat to expect: A contrast between old dockside buildings and cutting-edge galleries\, featuring many of the most iconic Danish design brands.\n\nFantoni at Emfima showroom\, in Holmen District \n– District Frederiksstaden: The Height of Sophistication \nIf you’re looking for the “monarchy” of design\, this is it. Planned as a coherent urban ensemble in the 18th century\, it remains one of the finest examples of Rococo architecture in Europe. \n\nWhat to expect: Stately mansions\, intricate ornamentation\, and a sense of power and continuity that remains largely intact.\n\nMutina exhibition\, at Frederiksstaden District \n– District Kongens Nytorv: The Ceremonial Center \nThe “King’s New Square” is the hinge where Copenhagen’s history\, culture\, and luxury meet. From its Baroque roots to its current status as a cultural crossroads\, it is impossible to miss. \n\nWhat to expect: High-energy exhibitions near landmarks like Charlottenborg Palace and the Royal Danish Theatre.\n\nThe sixth edition of the exhibiton Framing\, in the Kongens Nytorv District \n– District Rosengård: The Medieval Gateway \nRosengård represents the transition of Copenhagen from a fortified\, walled enclave into an open\, modern capital. \n\nWhat to expect: A walk through the city’s medieval foundations\, where street names still whisper the location of ancient bastions and moats.\n\nFritz Hansen event at 3daysofdesign 2026 (Rosengård District) \n– District Nordhavn: The Blueprint for the Future \nNordhavn is the most radical experiment in the festival. Built on former industrial piers\, it is being developed into a “five-minute city” – where everything a resident needs is within a five-minute walk. \n\nWhat to expect: Refurbished silos and warehouses that now serve as offices and homes\, showing how raw industry can become high-end\, sustainable living.\n\nAudo Copenhagen\, in the Nordhavn District \n– District Kultur: The Intellectual Heart \nThis district is where design meets democracy. It celebrates how cultural values and traditions imbue objects with meaning beyond simple aesthetics. \n\nWhat to expect: Royal gardens and museums that frame contemporary cultural exchange\, proving that heritage is a living\, breathing thing.\n\nDiscover Homo Faber exhibition at Milan Design Week 2026 \nHomo Faber exhibition (Kultur District) \nNavigating the Festival: The i-Points \nExploring 8 districts can be overwhelming\, which is why 3daysofdesign has expanded the i-Points concept for 2026. These six hubs serve as the nervous system of the festival. \n\nGuidance: Each i-Point is staffed by District Managers and Design Ambassadors ready to help you curate your route.\nConnection: Use these as physical meeting places to pause and plan.\nExploration: The i-Points are the official starting blocks for Design Walks and other curated tours.\n\nWhy visit \nVisit 3daysofdesign 2026 to experience design as a proactive act of purpose and presence.
