A strategic evolution: March instead of September
The decision to hold DW! in March is no coincidence. Throughout its history, the festival has explored different time frames, but the organizing team and the market have identified March as the ideal time. This strategic choice allows the major launches of collections and new creative visions of the Brazilian market to be aligned with global dynamics, making São Paulo the natural starting point for the trends that will guide the current year. It is a synergy designed to influence professionals, media, architects, and creatives at a time when the market is most receptive.

The City as a stage: the soul of the districts
The disruptive power of DW! lies in its being a “widespread festival.” There is no single fair that contains everything; it’s the city itself that becomes the container. This democratic approach, summed up by the motto “Design em tudo. Para todos. Perto de você” (Design in everything. For everyone. Close to you), breaks down the physical barriers between the design product and the citizen.
The festival is divided into Design Districts, each with its own specific identity:
- Alameda Gabriel: The beating heart of high-end and luxury design
- Centro: A mix of history, urban architecture, and creative redevelopment
- Pinheiros, Vila Madalena, and Oeste: the bohemian and creative neighborhoods, epicenters of independent innovation
- D&D Shopping and Shopping Lar Center: Hubs that combine the retail experience with design culture
- Fashion Hub DW!: An area dedicated to the intersection of fashion and design
- Digital Districts: To allow anyone, from anywhere in the world, to enjoy the event online
In the latest edition of the festival, DW! SP 2025 reached around 132 locations with over 415 events

DW! São Paulo Design Week: design as social impact and future
In addition to aesthetics and the market, DW! 2026 places a strong emphasis on the social role of design. Conferences, workshops, and urban interventions encourage discussion on crucial issues: inclusive urban planning, material sustainability, the circular economy, and the impact of technology on the quality of daily life.
At São Paulo Design Week, design is not intended as a mere consumer item, but as a process and solution to the challenges of the modern metropolis.

Visitor’s Guide: how to experience DW!
Given the immensity of the event – which exceeded 400 events in its last edition – approaching DW! requires a strategy. Here are some tips for navigating the festival to the fullest:
– Create your own itinerary: There is no universal program. Each visitor builds their own personalized agenda. Use the official website to filter events by district, type of activity (talks, tours, exhibitions), and personal interest.
– Monitor the mini-sites: Each participating brand manages its own online space. This is where you’ll find details on registration, limited workshop places, and specific times.
– The Hybrid Approach: Take advantage of the digital component. If you can’t be in all places at once, the Acontece and Blog sections of the official website, along with social media channels (Instagram and TikTok), offer a complete immersion even for those following remotely.
– Accessibility: Most attractions are free and open to the public. However, for workshops, guided tours, or exclusive events, it is essential to check in advance whether accreditation is required (via platforms such as Lu.ma, email, or WhatsApp).
