Since its launch in 2018, Indy Design Week has grown from a small gathering into Indianapolis’s flagship design festival, bringing together creatives across all disciplines to connect, learn, and inspire. From graphic design and architecture to digital media, fashion, and product design, Indy Design Week (IDW) celebrates the boundless impact of design.

Indy Design Week: the event
Every April, IDW hosts a city-wide, week-long festival filled with hands-on workshops, panel discussions & speakers (in-person & virtual). A pop-up market features local designers and makers, together with interactive meet-ups.
The goal is to inspire, educate, and connect, through immersive, collaborative, and inclusive design experiences.

The Theme of the Year for 2025 edition is HUES
This year’s theme, “HUES,” dives into the emotional, psychological, and cultural impact of color in design. From exploring color theory to understanding how hues influence identity and expression, “HUES” highlights the rich diversity and creative energy of our community.
