The imm cologne trade show is one of the most important furnishing show in the world.

Trade visitors appreciate its distinct business atmosphere and high standards of service and organisation. For one week in January, it is the epicentre of the international furnishing and design world. In addition to the trade shows, the city of Cologne organizes an extensive programme of events in town.

imm cologne is one of the world’s most important furniture fairs. More than 128,000 visitors attended the 2020 edition, the last one before the pandemic, with 52 percent of operators coming from abroad, from 145 different countries. Exhibitors are also very international at imm cologne, with more than 70 percent of companies coming from abroad.

Founded in 1949 in Cologne, the imm cologne trade show, since 2020, has been focusing on a new challenge, the imm cologne 2030 innovation program. This is a program that focuses on the reorganization of subject areas, and a new relationship with buyers, also taking into account changing consumer needs.

In 2024 edition, there are three exhibit sections: Pure, Home e Sleep.

Every edition, imm cologne hosts the Pure Talents Contest, the design competition for up-and-coming talent! Organised by imm cologne, the Pure Talents Contest is the stage on which designers present their creative ideas and innovative concepts. As one of the world’s most prestigious competitions, it offers design talent a unique springboard into the interior design industry. The Contest gives them the opportunity to establish valuable contacts and business relationships. The Pure Talents Contest celebrates its 20th edition at imm cologne 2024 with an exciting new concept.

imm cologne is one of the most important trade fairs in the world. Founded in 1949, until the 1990s it was the most important furniture fair in the world.
Here, in the 1970s, design-oriented companies offered impressive displays on the riverfront. An ante-litteram Milan Design Week. Among the projects that left their mark, we can mention Visiona, a Bayer-sponsored living research study involving Joe Colombo, Verner Panton, and Olivier Mourgue.
