Paris Déco Off / Paris Déco Home: open air showrooms and art galleries
But Paris Déco Off / Home is also an open-air art gallery. This year, the Festival des Étoffes is again inviting the Hôtel de l’Industrie, the ‘Passage Saint-Sulpice’ and the restaurant Le Moulin de la Vierge to decorate their windows with wall hangings, wallpapers and curtains decorated with trimmings. Also returning are Ecart International’s oversize furniture, and the traditional giant incandescent lamps, which illuminate and demarcate the Rive Droite and Rive Gauche.
In Place des Petits-Pères, a large plexiglass area will host a scenography of Luteca’s creations; here, one of its artisans from Mexico creates several basketry objects with cactus and cane stems, live. Another new feature this year is the presence of an Art Nouveau Champagne Bar in the central aisle of the ‘Passage Saint-Sulpice’.
Meanwhile, in the lobby of the Hôtel de l’Industrie, there will be a huge cardboard lamp by artist Emmanuelle Zarée highlighting this year’s Paris Déco Home theme.

Why visit
Paris Déco Off / Home is an event that has been taking place in Paris every year since 2009. Side events in the city during Maison & Objet actually began in the late 1990s, again in conjunction with Maison & Objet.
On the same days, Paris Fashion Week, Men’s Collections, is also happening in Paris: a week of events, making the city’s atmosphere even more vibrant.
Since the early years, there have always been more than 70 interior design and furniture showrooms participating in the event, which has now grown to more than 120. For both professionals and the general public, it is an opportunity to visit the showrooms, with the convenience of a shuttle bus that takes you from one showroom to another. Thus, these days, it is possible to see many different products and styles together to get a clear overview of the latest trends in interior design.
In addition, unlike trade fairs, admissions to all locations are free.
