The collateral event to imm cologne Passagen is back, and takes place from January 12 to 18, 2024. So, Passagen 2024 starts with preview days on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Ehrenfeld, in the Belgian Quarter, in the city center, and Deutz.

The Designers Fair and Designers Tower return to Ehrenfeld, with other exhibitions scattered throughout the district. Between the Belgian Quarter, the city center, and Deutz, once again, the entire city of Cologne is a design stage.

Passagen 2024 presents the design theme in a 1:1 interaction between architecture and interior design in an urban context. It also addresses the social demands of design, particularly the issues of sustainability, aesthetics, and popular culture.

Finally, the Cartes Blanches program offers an opportunity to discover Cologne’s new generation of designers.

Why visit
To experience the design atmosphere in Cologne. Cologne was the first city to invent the “Fuorisalone,” with spectacular events along the Rhine River. These included the Visiona exhibitions, curated by Verner Panton and Joe Colombo, in the early 1970s.
Today, the exhibitions are smaller, but Passagen is still a chance to discover alternative parts of Cologne, as well as upcoming design.
