At Milan Design Week 2025, Fiemme Tremila offered an immersive experience. There are no new products on display. Instead, Fiemme Tremila invites visitors to reconnect with wood. Not just to see it – but to feel it. To sense it as a living, breathing material.

Feel the wood, tactile and scented 

The installation Feel the Woods: Beyond the Senses transformed the Fiemme Store in Milan into a calm and intimate haven. In the middle of the busy Brera Design District, this space offered a moment of pause.

Fiemme Tremila designed a circular, cocoon-like structure. Forest-green fabric wrapped around it. Soft panels of Swiss pine covered the ceiling. The space blocked out the noise and distractions. Inside, the senses shifted. Sight took a step back. Touch, smell, and hearing took the lead.

A voice gently guided visitors through the experience. Natural scents drifted through the air. Sounds echoed softly. Guests ran their hands over moss, bark, and smooth surfaces. Some  were natural. Others were man-made. Each one told a story. People explored what they usually just observed. They reconnected with the true power of wood.

“Working with wood means respecting its nature,” says Marco Felicetti, CEO and President of Fiemme Tremila. “Of course, we care about new finishes and treatments. But that’s not all that matters. This year, we stepped back from launching new collections. We chose to focus on what really counts – the feel of wood. Its timeless quality. Its quiet strength. Wood has lasted through the ages. Trends fade. Wood remains.”
