Perth Design Week started in 2023 as an initiative by Sandy Anghie and David Smith. The idea stems from the success of Design Weeks in Australia and around the world. Perth Design Week is a “coalition of the willing”; a group of people and organizations that Sandy and David lead and work together to create this event.

Perth Design Week 2023 included over 50 events. The major partners including the Western Australian Museum Boola Bardip, State Buildings, Curtin University, UWA, and Central Park Perth. All of these and other partners are also participating in Perth Design Week 2024.

For 2024, PDW has gone global! Among the main events will be the “Principles Squares” installation. The architecture firm OMA, with the Italian company Unifor, will present the new Principles collection here.

With Perth Design Week, Perth can now take its place among the world’s great cities, where the interest and value of good design are celebrated with a dedicated public festival. The new Perth Design Week recognizes and promotes the value of local design and the results of designers’ labor.

Discover Bangkok Design Week

It’s an opportunity to recognize that Perth’s diverse design community includes professionals from all disciplines: architecture, interiors, landscape, planning, fashion, graphic design, service design, and product design. It’s design at all scales, but all are working toward a common goal: improving the way we all live and work.

Perth Design Week 2024 will take place from Thursday, March 14 to March 21, 2024, at various venues in Perth, Australia.
