In Bogotá, Colombia, from April 24 to 27, the tenth edition of the Bogotá Design Festival takes place. The BDF – Bogota Design Festival is for both professionals and amateurs. The event contributes to the cultural and creative growth of the Colombian capital. During the four days of the Design Festival, the public can learn more about design and innovation.
Many cities around the world now hold a Design Week or Design Festival once a year. The events, which last from a few days to more than a month, are design platforms promoting activities and spaces where the creative industries of the world’s major cities take center stage.

Bogota Design Festival – BDF: educational and commercial
The Bogotá Design Festival – BDF lasts four days and hosts an agenda of talks and discussion panels, training workshops, and competitions. It also hosts commercial and exhibition spaces for sponsoring brands and other activities. In the 2024 edition, talks and workshops will take place at the Chapinero Chamber of Commerce headquarters, in collaboration with the Creative Industries Cluster. On Wednesday, April 24, and Friday, April 26, the talks will be on Creative Entrepreneurship on Wednesday and Trends on Friday.
In addition to these meetings, there will be a parallel academic agenda with public entities. These include Universidad Taller5, Universidad El Rosario, Universidad Nacional, and there will also be alternative venues, such as the El Retiro shopping center, among others. As part of the Festival OFF, a festival dedicated to creativity in the broadest sense, there will be alternative spaces, such as the first edition of CromaFest – Digital Art, with an exhibition at the García Marquez Cultural Center. We can also mention La Silla Vacía, CMO, or multinationals such as Publicis among the workshop organizers. The Commercial Agenda will be just as attractive. National and international companies will open their doors, inviting the public to visit the different spaces and venues. The Bogotá Design Festival – BDF Map contains activities, exhibitions, experiences and launches. The Map will be distributed at various points of the BDF, where visitors can also register.
In the previous nine editions, Bogotá Design Festival has registered more than 26,000 people. In the tenth edition, it once again invites business people, entrepreneurs, designers, creatives, artists, and professionals to exhibit, share, and connect with design and creative industries in all their representations: industrial, graphic, publishing, craft, music, audiovisual, gastronomy, interior design and fashion.

The OFF Festival
During the Bogota Design Festival, there will also be the Festival OFF, a multidisciplinary platform showcasing Bogota’s leading creative and design players. The venues hosting the many events include stores, workshops, offices, restaurants, warehouses, galleries, and pop-up stores. Each brand or creative participating in the Bogota Design Festival – BDF proposes product launches, collections, tours, exhibitions, performances, activities, assemblies, and conferences around all design disciplines (industrial, graphic, textile, packaging, etc.).
