Guided tours to some of the city’s iconic locations, such as San Servolo Island, Ca’ D’oro, and a trekking itinerary, through the main points of interest of Venice Design Week, took also place during Venice Design Week.
The Venice Design Week 2024 program
Like every year, Venice Design Week divided the exhibitions into thematic routes, interior design, light design, jewelry design, all focused on Venice glass blowing in Italy. The innovative and sustainable approach was central to this edition, focusing on the balance between creativity and respect for the context. The creative process must take into account the needs of the community without losing sight of traditional craftsmanship. The relationship with local artisans and the use of recycled materials, such as wood, glass and ceramics, allow for authentic and innovative projects.

A global experience in Venice design, in Italy
The festival also offered visitors a global experience, thanks to lectures, meetings with designers, workshops. The tour also included thematic itineraries in museums, galleries, hotels, concept stores and artisan workshops, as well as Venice glass Maestros ateliers. An unmissable opportunity to rediscover the value of craftsmanship and local culture, among the pillars of Made in Italy.
Among the various projects presented, Julie Conway’s lamps (Illuminata Glass), Ana Maria Reque’s creations, Michał Korchowiec’s luminous “bubbles”, Hanna Hillerova’s “streaks,” and Romani Saccani’s soft colors – Multiforme lighting – stand out.
