Material Matters Copenhagen returns to 3daysofdesign with a distinctly eclectic and ambitious programme.
From 10 to 12 June, the Ukraine House at Gammel Dok will host nineteen exhibitors from across the globe, all united by a profound interest in materials and manufacturing processes. Collectively, the fair will span wood, glass, textiles, waste, bacteria, concrete, mycelium, rice husks, and paper, with each company deeply committed to demonstrating the importance of material intelligence and its ability to make the world a slightly better place.

This June, Copenhagen’s design landscape is set for a raw, subterranean transformation. British design house Tom Dixon is making an ambitious return to the annual 3Daysodesign festival 2026, with an immersive takeover of the Egmont carpark in central Copenhagen. Running from June 10 to 12, 2026, the exhibition—aptly titled THE CARPARK—reimagines an overlooked industrial venue into a bold architectural stage exploring hyper-mobility, adaptability, and the fluid movement of contemporary life.

An annual celebration of creativity and innovation: this is the Tallinn Design Festival, which hosted the 20th edition from September 29 to October 5, 2025. The program was notably rich, as usual, including exhibitions, design markets, and conferences, like most city design festivals. In fact, the integration between events and town is a festival feature. The headquarters is in an old industrial district undergoing regeneration, a really fascinating location. Moreover, many showrooms display their latest products. This way, Tallinn experiences the Design Festival as a big town festival, inviting visitors to explore even the most out-of-the-way areas.
The theme of the 2025 Festival was “Design for All”: how design can help equality.

International Design Conference at Tallinn Design Festival 2025
For six years in a row, Genova Design Week (Genoa Design Week) proved itself a widespread hub of design culture and innovation. In 2025, it featured over 140 events – exhibitions, immersive installations, and leading names in contemporary architecture. A new highlight this year: 146 architecture firms participated, 80 percent from all over Italy, across Container 02 (21), Best Houses Design (80), Design Radar (24), Festival Design Talk (3), plus 18 general events.
More than 25,000 design professionals and enthusiasts attended. Over five days, they filled alleyways and squares in the historic center, as well as the Darsena area. There, they discovered the thirteen female-led Container 02 design installations.

Genoa Design Week 2025
Taiwan Design Expo 2024 was back in Tainan for the fifth time, October 10 to 26, attracting more than 4.2 million visitors during the 16-day event. Themed “The Next 400” and celebrating the 400th anniversary of Tainan’s founding, the Expo showcased Tainan’s historical culture, circular design, future urban planning, and revitalized cultural monuments and shopping streets. This year’s Expo focused on Tainan’s profound cultural heritage and the innovative creativity that will lead its industries into the future.

The fourth edition of Courmayeur Design Week-end returns February 1-4, 2024. Like every edition, the event includes lectures, exhibitions, and convivial moments.
One of these moments, new to 2024, is the “Courma Beach,” a beach on the snow. An idea to use the Courmayeur Sport Center tennis court in the winter months. Courmayeur Beach will host a snow-beach volleyball court, classic Versilia wooden deckchairs and a bar with Oysters&Champagne.

The seventh edition of Bangkok Design Week 2024 (BKKDW2024) will take place from January 27 to February 4, 2024. The theme of the 2024 edition is “Livable Scape: The More people act, the better the city.” Bangkok Design Week comprises more than 400 events spread across various districts in the city, including Charoenkrung-Talad Noi, Samyan-Siam, Ari-Pradipat, Phra Nakhon, Phrom Phong, and others. Among the various activities are exhibitions, conferences, and workshops, with initiatives and ideas to encourage change.
