CIFF Guangzhou: the contemporary office

The 2024 edition of CIFF Guangzhou took place on March 18 to 21 and March 28 to 31. This was the first truly international edition since the pandemic boomed with the highest number of visitors ever. In the eight days of the exhibition (four for home and outdoor furniture, four for contemporary office design and contract furniture), 363,449 trade professionals visited CIFF Guangzhou, an increase of 22.06 percent over 2019. CIFF is thus confirmed as the world’s largest trade fair for the furniture industry. It also has a great international resonance, thanks to 51,025 visitors from 178 countries.

During the first phase, from March 18 to 21, dedicated to Home Furniture, home furnishings, contemporary home office design, and outdoor and leisure furniture systems were on stage. The trade show exhibited a wide range of contemporary home and office design solutions, to promote the innovative development of an increasingly smart home.

CIFF Guangzhou home and office contemporary design

From cozy living and dining areas to the comfort of upholstered furniture for living and sleeping areas, the home furniture focused on new systems dedicated to ‘smart sleep’. Alongside home furnishing elements, there was a great emphasis on products for outdoor spaces and decoration.

CIFF Guangzhou: a platform for contemporary office design

From March 28 to 31, on the other hand, the second phase focused on contemporary office design furniture and commercial space, as well as machinery, materials, and components for the furniture industry.

In the broadest sense of the word, Office Furniture and Commercial Space has become the world’s largest platform dedicated to contemporary office design. Here, in fact, you can find solutions for smart office, public, school, and commercial spaces. But that’s not all: CIFF Guangzhou also hosted furniture manufacturers for medical care and the needs of older adults. These new trends in contemporary home and office design integrate aesthetics, function, technology, and eco-sustainability.

CIFM/Interzum Guangzhou: components and semi-finished products 

Along with CIFF, the Canton Fair also hosted CIFM/interzum Guangzhou 2024. The exhibition of components and semi-finished products allowed visitors to see cutting-edge solutions in machinery for furniture production, as well as materials and components for the increasingly intelligent development of the furniture industry.

The materials sector paid particular attention to the original surface design. The hardware sector has set new standards for the production of high-end furniture for increasingly intelligent homes. With a focus on artificial intelligence and integrated solutions, the machinery sector has become the furniture industry’s benchmark for innovation and digital transformation.
