From 11 to 14 September 2024, CIFF Shanghai, one of the world’s leading furniture fairs, is back. CIFF Shanghai is the fall edition of CIFF, China International Furniture Fair, which takes place annually in March in Guangzhou, and September in Shanghai. The September 2024 edition of CIFF is the 54th, while CIFF Shanghai is in its tenth year (in fact, it took place for the first time in 2015 and also ran in 2020, despite the pandemic). In ten years, CIFF Shanghai has established itself as a premier global design event, seamlessly integrating exhibition and retail, and showcasing high-quality designs and industry-leading brands.

Camerich Pavilion 2023

CIFF Shanghai 2024 will present five co-located exhibitions: CIFF Shanghai WMF, CIFF Shanghai Upholstery Tech, CIFF Shanghai Offices & Public Spaces Exhibition, CIFF Shanghai Urban Outdoor Furniture Exhibition, and CIFF Shanghai Home Textiles & Accessories Lifestyle Exhibition. CIFF Shanghai will be a comprehensive platform for the furniture market through these exhibition events. In fact, on display will be from bedroom furniture, sofas, living room and dining room furniture to office furniture, commercial space and hotels. In addition, there will be home decoration and textiles, outdoor furniture, as well as machinery, equipment and components for furniture production.

Design East Show 2023

CIFF Shanghai: the furniture show

The more than 1,500 brands on display are preparing to welcome some 150,000 visitors, from all over the world. The furniture is mainly for the high-end domestic market, thus placing CIFF Shanghai as China’s number one design exhibition. Through positioning and marketing efforts, CIFF Shanghai connects exhibitors with high-end retailers nationwide.

Design Eden: A New Paradigm

In 2024, the CIFF Shanghai Design Pavilion (Halls 4.1 and 5.1) will be renamed “Design Eden – Contemporary Design Trade Fair.” This makeover marks a strategic shift to adapt to the changing market landscape. Design and business will be seamlessly integrated, promoting a shared future in which brands, designers, sales channels, media and other users shape a connected network.
The new Design Eden will focus on themes such as “Link Life”, “Link Individuality”, “Link Innovation”, and “Link Ecology”. CIFF Shanghai, in fact, attracts about 300,000 furniture designers. It offers design activities, special exhibitions, forums and competitions to enhance the growth of the industry through the power of design.

LINK Life – A Scenic Lifestyle

Link Life will be the venue for the Independent Brand Booths. It’s a platform for innovative Chinese interior design where well-known brands such as CAMERICH, HC28, CHIC casa, TEESURE, HIK, COOMO, DAaZ, MEXTRA, DOU HOME and M°NACA are featured.
There will also be Lifestyle Trend Showcases here: immersive settings created by participating companies to increase brand recognition. Finally, at CIFF Shanghai there will also be the View of Tea Classics exhibition here. A platform with all the furniture and accessories for tea preparation and tasting.

LINK Individuality – Fresh Ideas, Flowing Inspiration

This is the area dedicated to special exhibitions. Here you will find the Creative Design Showcase, curated by the team of designer Zhu Xiaojie, featuring his work. CIFF International Soft Furnishing Zone, on the other hand, features leading brands in upholstered furniture, aromatherapy, lighting and rugs. Trendy Life Aesthetics Exhibition features brands such as Himalaya Carpet, Zhuhai Free Cloud Art and others. Finally, the DDS Contemporary Home Trend Concept Exhibition is a platform for Chinese designers.

LINK Innovation – Empowering Connection Through Design

Design Eden – Independent Designer Brand Zone, is a platform to promote original design. On the other hand, the Siza Theme Exhibition is a tribute to Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza, an exhibition on his design and architecture. Imagination – Contemporary Design Life Exhibition, instead, combines exhibitions and interviews to inspire creativity.
LINK Ecology – Shaping a Sustainable Future.
CIFF Shanghai SHOW PLUS Composite Functional Zone, transforms underused spaces into a dynamic area for annual thematic topics, stimulating discussions, live broadcasts, and interviews.
The CIFF SELECT SHOW, on the other hand, is an exhibition of leading brands focusing on excellence in furniture design and manufacturing, showcasing future lifestyle trends.
