The Italian Lifestyle Lounge

The Italian Lounge is an event focused on exploring Italian design and Lifestyle, which took place during CIFF Shanghai 2024. It was a successful first experience to propose and promote companies, products, professionals, concepts, and Italian values in China in a new, effective, and synergic way. Conceived and organized by Edimotion, the Italian Lounge was curated by AIPI, the Italian Association of Professional Interior Designers. The design was by Davide Pavanello Lab, with Laminam, Masiero, and Natuzzi Italia among the brands selected for the lounge. The media partners were Designwanted and The Design Week Guide. The Italian Lounge also hosted a Forum on Italian design and Lifestyle.

Moderated by Fabrizio Todeschini, of Edimotion, the forum hosted Peter Bao, head of marketing at CIFF Shanghai, for institutional greetings. Roberta Mutti, editor-in-chief of The Design Week Guide, described how the Italian Lifestyle is an extraordinary combination of various cultural aspects that touch multiple fields, such as furniture, fashion, food, automotive, and more, as well as the places and architecture that house them. This made Italy the premier destination for design tourism.

Sebastiano Cattiodoro, project director at Vudafieri Saverino Partners Studio, shared stories of significant completed projects worldwide and in China. Davide Pavanello, Juan Torres, creative director of DesignWanted, and Andrea Busanelli from Laminam, China, offered their perspective on Italian design and brands. Qiu Zhiyun, a Chinese journalist and content director at Z Media, expressed his perspective on the Italian Lifestyle, which can be perceived in every place and at every moment, in Italy.
