The countdown to Asia’s 2025 furniture season is on! The Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF) is back, March 1-4, 2025. Exhibitors are busy finalizing their latest collections for global buyers.
Momentum is strong. With a surge in exhibitors and visitor interest, floor space at Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) and World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) is nearly sold out.
From March 1 to 4, MIFF 2025 will span 100,000 square meters across 17 exhibition halls in two venues. As Southeast Asia’s largest and most global furniture event, MIFF 2025 has already confirmed nearly 700 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions.

So far, exhibitors come from Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, India, Mainland China, Thailand, Hong Kong, and the United States. The show expects to welcome 20,000 attendees from 140 countries and regions. Pre-registrations have already surpassed 8,500 visitors from 115+ countries.

“It is vital to stay open and welcoming to professionals worldwide. This approach helps us explore new opportunities, stay relevant, and add value to businesses while reinforcing MIFF’s role in the global supply chain,” said MIFF Founder and Chairman, Dato’ Dr Tan Chin Huat.

Sustainability takes center stage with more eco-friendly products. One highlight: a collaboration between Japan’s Panasonic Housing Solutions and Malaysian manufacturer Shantawood to create furniture from regenerated oil palm waste.

The must-see MIFF 2025 highlights

Apart from MIFF OFFICE, top attractions include the Muar Hall, organized by the Muar Furniture Association (MFA), showcasing top manufacturers. “Muar Hall provides a great platform for our members to expand globally. In 2025, we aim to enhance Muar’s international presence, promote sustainability, and diversify exports,” said Steve Ong, MFA President.

Another interesting attraction is the designRena Hall – Featuring Malaysia’s finest furniture collections.

The buyers can take advantage of the upgraded MIFF Furniverse App 2.0 – A digital assistant to help buyers explore exhibitors and network.

Key events to watch

🏆 MIFF Furniture Design Competition (MIFF FDC) – This year, a record 335 entries compete under the theme “Fashion-Inspired Furniture. In 2026, the event gets even bigger, with MFA joining as an Event Partner to develop and prototype winning designs for MIFF.

KL iDesign Week – A collaboration between MIFF and Guangzhou Design Week to showcase Asian design globally.

🏅 MFID Awards (My Favourite International Design) – Returning for its second year to honor outstanding architecture and interior design.

🌱 Green Innovations – The Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) and the Malaysian Timber Industry Board (MTIB) will promote sustainable furniture practices.
